What's new

Mitchell needs to start

What mistakes did he make in the last game? What mistakes did Rubio make?

And we're supposed to ignore the other games where his play has been between net neutral at best and simply atrocious at worst? No one is saying to bench and trade him, but your position (Mitchell doesn't make mistakes/we should base our opinions off of one game) is equally preposterous in the other direction.

This thread cracks me up. 3 days ago everyone was ready to give up on Mitchell and call him a bust. Now he's the best player ever cause his shot finally started falling. Get it together guys! :)

Also, I've said all along, Mitchell has played well this entire season regardless of his point totals. There is more than one way to be effective and his calling card is looking like passing and defensive ability.

And dunking and hitting 3s

What? DM has made a **** load of mistakes so far.

lol as much as I love DM he can be a disaster on any given play.

he turns it over alot and does make a lot of mistakes. Good thing he's a rookie if he keeps doing this by year 3-4 then id be worried.

Agree, he was drafted to help win games with these skills. Plus having " JAZZ DNA " is a huge plus

Mitchell kind of a disaster tonight. Main culprit of leaving JJ Barea open on a lot of his buckets.

No one was ready to give up on him or call him a bust.

DM does not yet give us the best chance to win night in and night out. Last night should prove he still nOT ready to start.

I was really encouraged with his play last night. Rubio was great but last night Donovan was strong.

DM made the play of the game last night (for the second game in a row.) The momentum was going (and staying) with the Mavs until DM stole that pass from Dirk. That was big time.

I'm a believer that a lot of games are won between 8:00 and 4:00 minutes remaining in the 4th. George Hill was great for the Jazz between this time. DM stepped up the last two games and put the nail in the coffin.

He's not ready to start though. He gets worked by the vets. He needs some time to get used to their tricks. Let him build some confidence against second units.

Mitchell is just one of those intangible guys. He makes the plays that maybe don't have stats. And his effect on the crowd is massive too.

Small sample size and all that but the last two games Mitchell is 12-24 and 5-10 from 3. If he can continue to increase his %s...
