Mormons lol

My first reaction was not amusement, I assure you.

If you can't laugh at a seriously-self-convinced Mormon intellectual who had read and believed The Origin of Species the first year it came out, and who then formed a creative "fusion of truths" on his own steam incorporating Darwin and the Book of Mormon into one seamless vision, and who invoked the progressive ideals of the 1920s fully 50 years ahead of his time, I might just have to give up on you and leave you just as seriously-self-convinced about your own intellectual bearings. . . . . a fate worse than death, in my estimation.

I don't buy the apologetics some progressives trundle out to meet the criticisms of Margaret Sangers' racism. She was a Eugenicist much like Cecil Rhodes, who believed the dawn of human enlightenment necessarily involved reducing the black and other darker-skinned peoples under European intellectual leadership. David Rockefeller today is a racist of the same stamp. Why to you think nobody really does anything about Africa's diseases, and why do you think the ban on DDT isn't put on the back burner to save millions of lives in the tropics, where whites still don't really live.

Until you are willing to break with the real racism of the "progressive agenda" and blaze your own path forward, you might as well be whistling "Dixie".

The OP has a point, Ko-Mo's are a funny bunch.

Why leave out the dummies on this one? I will never understand how someone can profess to "know" something that is, as far as I can tell, not knowable. Unless God has appeared to you, then I'm afraid I have a hard time buying your "knowledge".

I call "scissors"! (but only if I'm going up against two hot lesbians)

Let's get up a big demonstration on the steps of the State Capitol on this one.

"Equal Rights For Dummies".

actually, I've heard some allege that toxoplasmosis causes people to become tentative in their judgments of everything. . . . a disease that tricks rats into lurking in the cat domain, resulting in the virus becoming propagated through cat feces, and thence to humans, particularly to the old "cat ladies" of our tribe.

If this is true, a male mormon could rely upon testimonial devotions as proofs of good housekeeping. . . . . an important criteria when it becomes necessary to find a new "housekeeper", especially when you're at an advanced age. . . .
Or maybe you could just get that education and learn how to trim excessive certainty from your mind because you are aware of, and can lend some appropriate level of reason to, diverse notions.

A person who only has command of two ideas is never certain which is absolutely right, but someone who has only one will never doubt himself. . . .

Sometimes I laugh out of frustration or disgust.

I was unaware that "So what?" was an apologetic. Sometimes the same person does very good and very bad things. It's all part of life.

Why to you think nobody really does anything about Africa's ...

There's very little money in it.

Until you are willing to break with the real racism of the "progressive agenda" and blaze your own path forward, you might as well be whistling "Dixie".

Agreed.

I was hoping to find a video of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir whistling "Dixie" but this was the best I could come up with...

I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or making fun of me. I wish I was joking.

I like the south park where they're all in hell and they find out Mormons were right all along.
