Move On From Hayward?

I would very seriously considering trading Hayward for #3 because of contract stuff and my not having much faith that the Jazz will be a much better team than this last year. But hell ****ing no to Harrison Barnes on any kind of max deal. So, so overrated.

they had a better record because they play in da East !!

they have a midget chucker PG They're not that good. And if they give anything up to get Kevin Love good luck to them. As he's so ably demonstrating in the finals, he's a pretty average player
Its not so much the East as they had hardly any injuries vs us having a ton.

Who is better?
Draymond Green or Hayward?
What a stupid question. Hayward of course. Hayward >>>>>>>>> Green. Green only puts up great numbers because he's playing with the two best shooters in NBA history. Hayward is the most versatile basketball player since the creation of the sport.

Cy, B-line am I doing this right?

hmmm i really would like to see how Draymond would do in another team where he played with sucky guards

He'd still be one of the most unique players in the game with his defensive ability and skill set, he'd still get open looks because he's guarded by bigs most of the time, his drive and dish game would still exist if he's a threat, and his IQ, understanding, instincts, and fire would still exist. Everyone benefits from playing on that team and in that system, but Draymond Green is so much more than numbers.

Harrison Barnes is hardly more than his numbers. His ability to positionally shift is what makes him worth a damn, and that's useless on this team.

I cannot believe that there are people on this thread who actually believe that Gordon Hayward is better than Draymond Green. I hate Draymond Green, but the guy can do it all. He can defend 5 positions. He can shoot, pass, and rebound. Yes, Draymond gets to play with those stars. However, those stars wouldn't be as good without Draymond.

And Hayward? C'mon, the guy is good but c'mon. He has had the ability to be "the man" the last two years. The ball is in his hands almost every possession. He gets to shoot, pass, drive, etc. all he pretty much wants. He has the best rim protecting pair in the league behind him. He has an up and coming wing next to him. And you know what, he hasn't led us to the playoffs or a .500 record the last two years. When you get that many touches in 36mpg, you better score 19.7ppg. At some level, you have to realize that somebody has to score. Even the worst teams in the league have guys who average 18+ points because somebody has to score. Every team averages 90ppg. Somebody will score.

If Hayward was on GS, he would not be Draymond. He would probably be Barnes but stick more on the perimeter because he can't guard PF's regularly.

Disgrace? What are you talking about? Is having an opinion a disgrace?

I've been here for a few days and it seems very obvious that some people are willing to crap on some people but others are so super sensitive. What gives?

Quit try trade jazz hero player ok? SHAME!

Hayward and Green are different player entirely, hard to even compare.

Green would not play Hayward's role better than Hayward, and same goes for Hayward in Green's role.

Barnes is the beneficiary of playing with the two players that have the most gravity in the league and one of the best passing/playmaking forwards. Wherever he goes next he will disappoint.
Iawtp

For me I'd think about Hayward to Boston for #3, Jae Crowder (incredible contract and plugs right in to GH's spot), Kelly Olynyk, (Jerebko as cap filler) and a future first or #16. Plenty of cash to pay Gobert, Exum, and Hood going forward and add another significant piece. Plus you likely add both Murrays and let them develop.
That would be a very lopsided trade in our favor.
Get it done DL.

But he has improved every year

Has he? His minutes, role, and salary have increased but when I look at his numbers there isn't much improvement from year to year.
