I actually think that this lineup would be competitive -- we would not be in tank mode.

Why would you want to be competitive with this team? What would this team do? Get you the sixth seed? For what? So the next year you are back to where you are now, and where you were two years ago? Also, I doubt Gasol goes anywhere. LA will pay through the teeth next year.....

And then all of their players will be off their books.

LA will go into the summer of 2014 with 9 million on the books. And every single great player as a FA. Get ready for LeBron and Curry to be the new face of the Lakers for the next 10 years.

Small market teams tank to get great players. LA pays 150 million one year to sign its all star team.

Back to my original point, if there was ever a year to suck, this is the year. We need to be AWFUL next year, playing all our young guns. That is the ONLY way this team will get a title.
