What's new

Name the teams that the Utah Jazz are currently better than

Come on! How can y'all think we're not better than Lakers? Washed up Boozer, Mysterious return of Kobe, Lin-Randle. That's ALL they got.

Oh sorry. I forgot Nick Young...

We're better than
Phila
Orlando
Lakers
Kings
Bucks and Maybe Knicks.

Philadelphia, Orlando, Milwaukee, Boston, Detroit, Knicks and Kings agree with-maybe Lakers too

The Jazz have less NBA ready talent than they had last year. They will have a better coaching situation and should be fun to watch but unless some of the young uns have a breakthrough year this team is still going to struggle. And add me to the list that thinks the Lakers will be better than us if KB is healthy.

Philadelphia, Orlando, Milwaukee, Boston, Lakers, Detroit
Maybe NY Knicks. Kings will find a way to be bad again. Letting Thomas go was a huge mistake. Denver has a very "meh" roster. Jazz will be better than Nuggets by end of the season, might be able to overtake them in the standings. And Minny will be affected by the Love situation all year. Expect them to possibly be worse.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

I'll give you Philly, and maybe Boston.

C'mon Milwaukee pretty much is their summer league team plus Sanders, and we dominated them even with the white scrubs and without Burks, Favors, and Mad Max guy. There is no math that gets you to Milwaukee being a better team just because they added Parker.

Did that Milwaukee team even win a game in Vegas? Maybe they were 1-4.

I might disagree with you if we were only comparing rosters, but the Bucks just hired Jason Kidd. The Mayhem that was the Bucks Summer League was a result of his coaching skills. I kind of feel sorry for Jabari and Giannis.

In no universe is that collection of villainy better "on paper" than the Utah Jazz. Once you add in Jason Kidd (as you mentioned) that team is going to compete once more with Philly for worst in the league. I'm going to title them "International House of Pancakes." Poor Parker. . .

Well, where did we improve?

PG Burke, JL3
to
PG Burke, Exum

One has to call that improvement. Burke should naturally be a bit better and Exum has to be better than JL3

SG Hayward, Burks
to
SG Hayward, Burks

Hayward isn't going to improve much at this point, and Burks probably won't either. Pretty much a wash from last year assuming these two are your starter and backup.

SF - Richard Jefferson, Jeremy Evans
to
SF - Rodney Hood, Jeremy Evans

This looks to be a step backwards. (of course you might start Burks at the 2 and start Hayward at the 3, not sure how that'll play out)

PF - Marvin Williams, Enes Kanter
to
PF - Enes Kanter, Trevor Booker

Another one that looks like a step back, assuming Corbin played Marvin over Enes for good reason.

C - Favors, Gobert
to
C - Favors, Gobert

Should be slightly better with Gobert improving.

So...
Slightly better
Wash
Slightly worse
Slightly worse
Slightly better

Looks like we're going to have a very similarly strengthed team as last season to me. I don't see how we finish anywhere but last in the West again. Well, unless Kobe is unhealthy or Exum is lightning in a bottle, but summer league didn't indicate that is the case. So, you'd have to see if any of the other teams got better or worse near us. I don't have time to do that right now, but, I suspect that Orlando, Boston, and the Bucks will all be a little stronger. Philly will probably still suck.

It's going to be a tough year. But, at least we don't have Corbin or any vets on the team to lean on. So, it should be entertaining.

Wow. Can't take your post seriously now.

Hard to say prior to watching our players in Quin's system. Here's my guess:

Philadelphia. This is the only "for-sure" that we are better than.

Orlando. Close, but I think we edge them out.

Sacramento. I think our improvement will bump us up over them. They didn't get any better in FA and I don't believe in their young guys.

Boston.

Did Evans play a single minute at SF last year?

people who think lakers are better than us. get out of this site wtf

Gaiz, I'm all over dong on this one. Get a grip. Y'all have to be yanking my chain. Teh Jazz are better than LA. We're def girthier inside and we have balls, unlike Boozer. We're going to tea bag those wangs. Hard.

Unless there's another addition to the roster, your SFs this year are Hayward and Hood.

And Booker can play some 3 as well.
