Learn the meaning of sarcasm then u will get what i was trying to say,
Man, I really want to learn the meaning of this "sarcasm" concept you have introduced to us today, so I looked it up:
"the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say especially in order to insult someone, to show irritation, or to be funny"
Got it, so to break it down,
"Kanter is 8th in the NBA PER Rankings" no sarcasm there, just facts
"....you guys were claiming his the worst player in the NBA last season.(waiting for someone to say PER is a useless stat, when all the ppl decide best player in their team with PER, even league MVP)"
sarcasm again, so you must believe the opposite. But I don't feel particularly insulted or irritated. Definitely not funny. This sarcasm thing is tricky.
"Thought Utah would have been a contender this season without Kanter, he was the one dragging them down since hes that bad"
Okay, this one feels sarcastic. You clearly did not think Utah would be a contender without Kanter. So you are mocking those who thought Kanter was sooooo bad that his absence would launch them up there with the Warriors. Only no one thought that. It is a good thing that it can be sarcasm just by being irritating and does not necessarily need to be funny.
Thanks for your basketball wisdom and for expanding our vocabulary! (pssst....... that was sarcasm)
