Kobe/Lakers choked. This is looking like a sweep boys.
choked? How so?
Looks like to me like Dallas outplayed them
Has anyone been watching the Mavs offense these playoffs? It's fantastically basic, and very malleable. The two things I like: they run pick and roll with everybody. Yeah, Dirk is what makes it effective since he gets crazy switches and he can make anything. But the Mavs run it with 3 different players, the bigs down low know it's coming and cut, and they space shooters off it really well. The other thing I like is Carlisle LOVES to play matchup. He tortured Portland posting Marion on their little guards, and now he's torturing the Lakers inability to defend the point. In other words, the P&R is their bread and butter, but Carlisle changes his gameplan when he sees any weakness he can exploit.
Anybody bothered by how Miami plays b-ball? I find their game ugly, even though it is effective and they have two of the most dynamic players ever. When crunch time comes, it is simply give it to either lebron or wade and let them go one on one. Then the D focuses on them, they work hard to get an ugly shot. They are good enough to make them but it sure is not pretty b-ball. With their talent and two of them on court, they ought to be able to get a bunch of easy scores with solid team play. But it rarely happens. Very dissappointing. I would sure like to see what they could do with a Pops or Phil as coach.
On the other hand, I am enjoying watching how the Bulls use the ex-Jazzmen. Ronnie B is a backup and ignored in the offense. KK is a three point shooter. They actually run plays for 3 point shots. Isn't that amazing? And Thibideau (sp??) sure has them hustling on defense.
Anybody can be defended if the refs call the games fair.
...Tom Tibeklrelrkeu, the Bulls coach...
Dirk's fade-away says hi.
