NFL 2016 Season Thread

The Pats won't make it to week 4 as #1
If the Vikes had Petersen, I'd say they would keep climbing... but they won't
I can see why they've ranked the Broncos this high, but they won't end the season as the 5th best team.
I think Aaron Rodgers has lost a step or some kind of mental edge.

/my thoughts.

The Pats being 2-0 right now clearly gives them #1 IMO. Impressive as hell
Steelers worry me more than any other AFC team right now
Denver D is lethal, they can drive down the field but have to fix play calling and red-zone troubles to move up. They will finish top 5 as well IMO.
Viks and Packers will continue to fall
Panthers and Cards will be top 5 all season IMO.

I'm probably dead wrong on the Broncos, they're better than they were last year.

D is about the same but the O has improved. Keep in mind that there was tons of room for improvement. The QB play has improved, so far at least. The addition of the fullback has been fantastic.

But the play calling has been frustrating, inexperienced mistakes (4 TOs and 3 in/near the red-zone) and inability to turn their drives into TDs instead of FGs.

Steelers probably a tad high.. they haven't really been tested yet at this point.

They just beat Cincy. Cincy is a playoff team and has been for a while. Also with the talent that Pitt has I don't have a problem with their ranking.

Also Denver is not doing nearly as well on run D this year.

lMAO - Seahawks score a combined 15 points against two teams that probably won't even make the playoffs and they make the Top 10?

Giants were left out despite being 2-0 but that's alright - it will probably take a win at Minnesota or GB to make believers out of the national media.

I'm so glad the Rams took Goff letting the Eagles end up with Carson Wentz. This is what New Orleans fans must've felt like when we picked Deron Williams and let Chris Paul fall to them.

Great to see the Eagles finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The NFL would really benefit from the Eagles being back at its best once again.

Some good games this week:

Houston @ New England
Denver @ Cincinnati
Pittsburgh @ Philadelphia
New York (Jets) @ Kansas City

I'll be pulling for the home team in all 4 of these games.

I want Houston, Denver, Philly and New York to win.

I think it'll be New England, Denver, Pittsburg h and K.C. though.

Jets and Houston not good enough to beat those teams on the road IMO.

Pitt is that good.

I like Denver against pass heavy teams. Best pass rusher and secondary in the game. Cincy is 31st in rushing yards per game at 51.5. Denver excels at defending passing teams.

Pittsburgh against Wentz is gonna be a great test for the kid.

HOU vs NE today is also an intriguing contest, HOU 2-0 after two weeks but are on the road, NE down to their 3rd QB on a short week. I think HOU has a great chance at stealing a win here.

Gronk is also active tonight so that helps!
