NFL 2016 Season Thread

what's funny is that you insist the Broncos be mentioned in the same breath as the Patriots. Sure, the Broncos have had success in head-to-head match ups, but in the larger picture the Patriots are well distinguished from them.

Larger picture huh? Since the merger:

Denver - 3 SB wins (3-5 .375), 8 AFC Championships, 15 Division wins and 22 playoff appearances

New England - 4 SB wins (4-4 .500), 8 AFC Championships, 17 Division wins and 22 playoff appearances

1 more SB win and 2 more division titles over 4 1/2 decades. Oh the clear dominance! Haha

Broncos have a gap from 2006-11 where they struggled, New England has one from 1986-94

Larger picture indeed.

Belichick and Brady are the best of all time. Clear enough?

Love your "exhaustive" stats, btw.

Love your changing the goal posts when proven wrong.

Belichick is in the discussion for best coach all time, Brady is best QB all time IMO. I'll openly state that. But the game is played by more than 1 person. But this "well distinguished" BS is just that, BS. Both teams are historically great and will be in the thick of it again this year.

You sound like that bitter person who has to tear down anyone else to feel better. Not a good look.

I wanted to see where the Steelers stood in relation to this:

6 SB wins (6-2), 8 AFC championships, 21 division wins and 29 playoff appearances.

These three teams account for 24 SBs (and 24 AFC championships as well) over a 46 year period. 3 teams with over .500 of the representation in the big game. Pretty impressive. They are 3 of 4 teams with 8 appearances in the SB (no one has more). Cowboys are the 4th team with a 5-3 record.

I said the Patriots were well distinguished. You disagreed. I responded by saying they've had the best coach and quarterback of all time (fyi, that's evidence of their distinction). Then, you continue to be confused. Goal posts were not moved. You just get dizzy.

You said the Pats were more "well distinguished."

Distinguished: made conspicuous by excellence https://www.dictionary.com/browse/distinguished?s=t

I disagreed and showed why with facts. The facts show it is about as even as it can get with a very small tilt towards your team.

Then you came back with "Well...best coach and QB all time!!" to which I mostly agreed.

Those are clearly different arguments. So you either:

A. failed to properly make your original point to which I replied

or

B. Changed the argument

I assumed B but am open to A being the possibility but enough of this dizzy, confused BS.

so you have complete command over what counts as "facts"? Those were the simplest stats that could have been scraped together, and now they're "teh facts of teh matter." LOL.

If you don't think statements about Belichick and Brady being the best of all time count as arguments toward the Patriots distinction from the field, then you need to lay down with an ice pack. Pronto.

you're really awrrsome with these cliches

Well, when you throw crap against the wall don't expect better.

They are facts, don't like the facts then that's to bad. If you fail to make your point originally that is also on you.

BEST QB ALL time guys!!! HOLLA!!!

SMH, get off your mood swing.

I'll come back when there's actual discussion instead of sad attempts at mockery.

I am not ready to say that Denver will be in the thick of things this season. The Panthers win was nice but they have had two home games and their new quarterback has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns.

We will know who they are this weekend.

I think we already know who they are. The same team as last year.

But fair enough. Nice Pats win btw.

He is new and has a lot to learn. No he isn't ****ty.

Believe it or not but Denvers O has more points, rushing yards and passing yards through two games this year than they did last season.

don't forget, they have done that against better competition than last year as well.
