What's new

NFL 2016 Season Thread

I am not ready to say that Denver will be in the thick of things this season. The Panthers win was nice but they have had two home games and their new quarterback has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns.

We will know who they are this weekend.

lol, that was who they were all last season and they won the Super Bowl.

What a find by the Broncos to have gotten Siemian as their new QB.

3 TD passes so far on his first road game against the Bengals.

So the Bengals double and triple team Von all game because Ware is injured...What happens? Shane Ray gets 3 sacks. LOL

I am so glad that Manning retired. The offense is much better off this year with a guy that will stand in and throw it and can put a little more than a wobble on the ball.

I had very low expectations for the Eagles this year and they've already blasted through them like the fist of God.

Nice win by the Broncos. I stand corrected.

To be fair I do not think anyone saw that game coming.

Only 5 undefeateds left.

New England
Denver
Philadelphia
Baltimore
Minnesota

Interesting. Also Rams at 2-1

Rams, Eagles, Vikings, Panthers, Patriots and Cardinals all somewhat a surprise for various reasons.

TB got screwed, it was 3rd and 10 LA had the ball on their 20 yard line and we had all the momentum with 2 time outs and we were about to get the ball back and Jameis was getting hot.....than the game gets delayed smfh....Another garbage season.

Also the end to the Chargers/Colts game was crazy. Ineligible man touching the ball and it forces the game to resume for 1 possession. Gave the Chargers 1 chance to make a miracle happen.

Oh and our 2nd round draft pick kicker misses a extra point and a fg...pathetic

I'm not sure when teams are gonna learn not to draft a kicker even remotely high. Maybe in the 5th or 6th round. That's about it. This kid has been meh. I remember the Eagles drafted that kid from Nebraska about seven years ago in like the third round and he's not even in the league anymore. Alex Henery I think? The Jets drafted that guy in like the 2nd round about 10-15 years ago too from Ohio State. I forget his name. He had a nice career and all but was nothing special. Just an average NFL kicker. It makes no sense to waste a high pick on a kicker.

It's so much more important to have a solid defense and a stronger offensive supporting cast than a great QB. I think that is the direction the NFL is heading. Once Brady/Brees retire the era of the elite god tier QB will be over.
