I can't resist taking Carolina this week. They're going to be horrific once Newton comes back to Earth. I hope he doesn't come back this week.
Rams receivers suck ***, what are you talking about?
Sims-Walker, Danny Amendola(injured right now unfortunately), Brandon Gibson, Danario Alexander, Austin Pettis
no superstars but a solid group
As a Rams fan, let me chime in. Alexander has the talent to be a #1 but the knees to make him a part time guy. Amendola is a great slot receiver and Bradford's security blanket. Sims-Walker is coming along, but he's still a #2 guy and Gibson is liable to drop the pass, as are the tight ends. Pettis has yet to be on the active game roster, sitting behind Salas from Hawaii, who played a huge role in their loss to the Giants. In other words, Bradford doesn't have a lot to work with. Then again, I wouldn't say that the Patriots have a "#1" guy, but they seem to do okay.
I went through the entire 17 weeks, trying to find the best matchups and found that I hadn't picked against KC once when I was done. It was just coincidence that I had already burned other teams when KC came up on the schedule. I now have a couple of versions and can adjust depending on injuiries. It's challenging when you can only choose a team 1x. There are some weeks I don't like more than 1 or 2 matchups.Picked the Chargers too. Seems too easy of a pick. Maybe I should just pick every team that plays the Colts or Chiefs in a given week. Already picked the Steelers, so I got to pick the Chargers.
i already used the Chargers and the Steelers...so....I torn between a couple teams, i could take the Packers @ Bears, the Patriots @ Bills, or Ravens @ Rams
come to think of it thought the Ravens secondary got lit up last week, i can't risk that against a talented receiving core for Rams... so either Packers or Pats.
The Bills killed me and likely hundreds of other survivor league participants, just another shot to to the body of this Phins fan in what is turning out to be another painful season. That was a tough loss, prodigy. Bills came from way back. I'm going to start taking a few calculated chances so I don't burn the obvious favorites and paint myself into a corner on a toss-up game. Green Bay or Buffalo are the clear choices this week, but I may save both teams for later.
I've already put in Tampa Bay as my selection. I hate picking road teams, but also considered NO @ Jacksonville. Green Bay is a lock, but there's another week that, IMO. the GB matchup is a better selection than any other game. It's tough when you have to consider your picks across all 17 weeks.I think I may go TB in prime time. Based on his profile, I'd have to think Freeman would eat up a MNF game. I also don't like Indy's chances of coming out and giving a completely honest effort again.

And I want to leave myself with several good options for the final week (provided I last that long). Teams that have clinched often tank (like NE when they could have gone undefeated). Need to make sure a solid favorite is playing at home and has a playoff berth or homefield advantage at stake.
My bad. I was thinking of Indy in 2009. Undefeated through 14 games, I believe, then rested their starters for most of the remaining 2 games. And NO had a run of 13 wins before losing and tanked before going on to win the SB.NE did go undefeated. Prior to the Super Bowl.
