Old man Favre needs to just stay retired already. Man am I ever sick of him.

Oh and mods, please sticky this thread. Thank you.

I think the Colts have their same ok chance at winning it all if the OL improves (and it's hard to see it not improving), they stay a lot healthier than last year, and they snag a decent DT in FA.

Shaky Smithson to the packers, Eddie Wide to the Rams, Matt Asiata to the Vikings, Sealver Siliga to the 9ners

Sorry, without a doubt Manning was showing some dents in his armor last season - from here on in it's all down hill. And without Manning playing like an All-Pro, The Colts are an 8 win team at best. Without Manning at all, The Colts are a 4 win team at best.

SimpleHeel-Whether the Jets land him or not, they still haven't proven they can get over the AFC hump. Until they put together any kind of consistent offense, they are not the best team in football. Sorry.

What haven't they proven? Last season they took out the AFC's 2 biggest threats to win the Super Bowl, the fact that they lost to Pittsburgh just shows how lucky Pittsburgh was, not only because they beat the Jets, but also because they didn't have to play the Pats or the Colts.

Also, no way Asomaugh pulls a Lebron James (joining the other best CB) and goes to the Jets. .

The best thing a defensive player can do for their legacy is being a part of/creating a legendary defense. And it would actually enhance his stats, because you can't throw away from Asomuagh, like everyone did last season, because Revis is on the other side of the field, same for Revis. It would be like Lebron going to the heat and upping his ppg average to 35.

He will be guarding worse players though. He won't get the toughest assignments and he won't get all the praise. He won't win any championships either because the organization sucks.

I don't think that's true, I think it would vary from game to game... Asomuagh would defend the speed receivers and Revis would defend the possession receivers. If the Jets played the Texans, Revis would get Andre Johnson, if they played the Cards, Asomuagh would get Fitzgerald.

How about the ability to play even remotely consistent football on offense? They are a juggernaut of a defensive team, no doubt, and are among the better teams in the NFL, but adding Asomaugh to the mix is not going to make them the clear cut best team. So what if they beat two of the best teams in the AFC? They needed to beat three.

I know they are only undrafted FA, but the Saints got the #1 rated (according to the site) player available. SS DeAndre McDaniel.

Everything I read is the #1 undrafted player was the LB from Boston College that had cancer. Can't believe he wasn't drafted.

Very happen with a few that the Steelers got and can see a few making the Squad and possibly a few on the 52 man roster.

John Clay - RB Wisconson - Definately could be a steal and a good 3 RB on the depth chart - Suprised he wasnt drafted but ran a 4.8 at the combine which hurt him. 3400 Yards in College - Over 5 Yards a clip - We do have Mendenhall, Redman, Dwyer and Moore (Free Agent and wont be back) so not sure if he makes the active roster but if he can beat out Dwyer may be on the 52 and Dwyer on the Practice Squad

Wesley Saunders - TE S. Carolina - Had some off the field issues. 6'5'' 270 Lbs

Armand Robinson - WR Miami Ohio - 94 Receptions last year - Don't care if it's in the MAC - 94 Receptions is 94

Mario Harvey - MLB Marshall - 144 Tackles and 8.5 Sacks last year - With Fox most likely not being back I can see Harvey making the squad and possibly being a good back up/3rd stringer and Special teamer

So let me get this right?

So Pittsburgh was lucky that the Jets beat the Pats & Colts so they had to play the Jets instead of either of those teams? Isn't that bagging on your own team then stating they were not the best team or even close?

Your arguement is if they land Namdi they are a lock right? Isn't that what was said when you landed the Shawn Kemp of football a few years back?

I guess I'll have to live with being a lucky team as it has brought 6, count them 6, rings home to Blitzburgh.

The Eagles signed DeAndre Brown. Potentially a home run. I went to High School with him and he when he came out he was ranked in the top 5 of WR for his class, right alongside Julio Jones and AJ Green. His grades kept him from joining a big time school, so he had to go to Southern Miss. There he did pretty good, but major injuries held him back, along with with his **** attitude he has had his whole life. If he can get over his massive ego, stupidity, and injuries, he could be a great WR. 6'6, strong athlete.

Did you work at Best Buy together as well?

The Colts' OL was god awful last year and half the team was injured, yet they still won 10 games. All those dents in Manning's armor go away if the OL plays at least average.

Without Manning yes, the Colts are a 4 win team. But Manning is one of the most durable QBs to ever play the game, so that doesn't' worry me.

Considering he has had 2 different 'neck/back' procedures and is questionable at this point for the opening of the regular season I would start to worry. He is not 25 anymore and his body is beginning to break down. His only rescue is to take a picture of his weiner and send it to some hot intern to lengthen his career by a few years.

I'd be willing to bet everything I own he starts the season. The man has missed one snap in his career due to injury. One play.
