NFL Talk

The Rams are going to be a damn good 6-10 team this year thanks to a brutal schedule. That might be good enough to win their division. I'm looking forward to seeing Bradford develop under McDaniel's guidance.

I ♥ Rams talk.

Any Ram's receiver who could be a fantasy sleeper? I remember picking up Laurent Robinson last year thinking he would breakout, but never did.

If Danario Alexander could stay healthy, he's the sleeper. The guy could be a monster but has had multiple surgeries and injuries. He might be a good gamble late in a draft. Donnie Avery, too. He was going to be their #1 receiver last year and then injured his knee in a preseason game and missed the year. He's blazing fast and could be their deep threat. Or he might get cut. Really the only veteran WR I would say with confidence will be on their team is Danny Amendola, but he's not a sleeper.

Ike Taylor Re-Signs with the Steelers

Now just sign Woodley to a long term contract to help with being over the cap

Starts the season I agree - Plays 16 games - Doubtful

How is someone who has missed virtually no football over more than a decade regardless of various ailments considered doubtful to play 16 games? I'm truly curious. If we were talking about somebody who routinely misses a few games a year, like a Polamalu, then you can say he's doubtful to play 16, but this guy has never missed anything.

I don't think the issue is whether or not Manning will be injured this season - I think the issue is he's just naturally wearing down. To me, last season it was readily obvious that Manning lost a little zip on his fastball. The out routes to the sidelines are starting to get batted away and intercepted.

Manning might very well play all 16. I just think the late comebacks and the games where he would just put the entire team on his shoulders will start to be few and far between.

Doubtful? The guy has never missed a game in his career. I'd say it's doubtful he doesn't play 16 games.

I say doubtful because of his injuries. It's not like he is 23 years old and his body will bounce right back. He has a shaky line, list of injuries from the past few years, and will be walking into the season hurting.

I would say if I was a betting man and they had odds that the odds of him playing 16 is less than if he doesn't.

Also signed LB Will Herring from Seattle. If any Seahawks fans are present on the board, a low down on Herring would be appreciated.

You mean the same injuries that he's been playing with? Yeah, that's not stopping him. Nothing short of a season ending injury or major ligament damage/broken bones is going to keep him out of games. You're talking as if it's a foregone conclusion. I don't get it.

I mean the Mid-30's QB that has been slowing down now for a few years. The one that just had his 2nd neck surgery in the past year if I remember right. I never once said it was a foregone conclusion but my opinion that he won't make it 16 games. Difference there.

And I never said that you said it was a foregone conclusion, just that you're talking that way. I still don't see the logic behind saying a guy who just flat out does not miss any time on the field for anything is doubtful, regardless of what the problem is. Doubtful to preform at the level he was three years ago with these injuries? Maybe, but this guy has proven, like Brett Favre before him, that he will play through anything and everything he possibly can. Doesn't sound like a guy that's doubtful to play 16 games to me. Not to mention that quarterbacks like him are being increasingly protected from malicious hits.

Albert Hanynesworth to the Pats, he better get into shape or he's gonzo

can't blame the pats for taking a chance on him
