No Kanter in the FIBA WC 2014 and His Injury is More Serious Than It Has Been Declared!

I see Ben10 is logged on. He needs to STFU less.

Also, this Kanter is teh hilter **** from the TNT Coach is tiresome. Someone light his fuse.

Wait, so is he really out for 2 months after his surgery? Or was that misinformation?
I wouldn't think the NT coach would be misinformed. His words sounded however, like he had indeed been misinformed before as he says he was thinking Enes was gonna be ready for the second part of the preparation camps. And he says he has just(21st July) learned that Enes' situation was more serious(the stitch part) and he wasn't allowed to do anything for two months.

But thankfully, half of that two months is already gone and if he recovers as expected, it shouldn't be a big problem for the Jazz.

Different coaches, sir. And the new guy has no problems with Kanter, he actually was trying to solve the Kanter issue within the federation.

I pushed my meniscus a little too hard this morning jogging and from now on I won't say negative things about players who go under surgery. Walking straight is a blessing.

sigh... his d needs to get better damn it

I'm really curious and excited about his defense and improvement this season actually. Kanter's lack of any side of basketball including defense could not be blamed on anything but mental problems to me. So I believe new coach Quin Snyder will affect his mental strength a lot in a good way.

Not only that, but at the end of the season, we all saw Enes being surprisingly open hearted and brave, answering the questions of Locke. Now this picture was the exact opposite to whatever we saw from him on the court during the regularity. He kept looking to the bench master Tyrone Corbin because he was scared he would yell him. Now the last time we saw him talk to Locke, he looked like one of the dragons of Daenerys Targaryen at its adolescense, rising against its parent.

He took the balls he dropped from the ground, put'em back into their slots, and cover the area with some fine hard titanium armor. And from my point of view, balls translate to defense a lot in any game. Not simple as balls=defense, but it's a start.

So here it is. Another bad offseason for Enes Kanter, let's wait and see hopefully that his problem was mental and own his game this season.

Yes, I agree bad D was all mental. Q may help him get his head right and play solid on both ends of the floor. Though this injury, while I still doubt if it's that serious, would cost him basically another offseason. Gobear is improving every second so Kanter may be in danger of losing his starting spot.

I would like to see that happen in the aid to his mental growth. The step that he learns nothing could be taken for granted and he needs to bust his butt off.

IMO the lack of motivation/attidude was one of the biggest reasons why kanter didn't even try to playing defense. You know it should be a great feeling to have a coach who never trusted you and treated you like a scapegoat even in a tankseason. His man to man defense in his rookie and sophomoreyear was solid not only because of playing against backups but he will never be a great pick and roll or help defender due his lack of ahtletic ablities. Playing offense is easy and for your ego but playing your *** off on the defense side for no reason is tough! Not a good attidude of course especially asking some of your teammates but i think they have all one in common, the fact that Ty Corbin was a bad coach. There were so many changes in the NBA but no one considered him as a head coach.

Everyone is complaining about Enes' Defense but no one does about Alec? Why?Compared to Kanter our SG Alec Burks has length and athleticsm to be great but he is also showing no or less effort. Same issues as Kanter.

Hopefully both Kanter and Burks will be better defenders when there is a coach who trusts them. Quin Snyder seems like a fair guy and i think he will give everyone some credit as long as they showing effort!! To be honest i am a Quin Snyder fanboy :D

I am not saying Kanter will be great but in his forth year he has to show something and providing at least 15 /9 and add more effort on his man to man defense. His offseason injuries pisses me off and i am wondering why the jazz officialls don't tell anything.

Have Jazz even confirmed any of this about Kanter?
How come a Turkish coach knows this and Jazz have not said a word?

The Jazz officials don't tell anything because the surgery thing most likely is a big lie. Seems like it was created as a bogus story just at the right time, when the roster for FIBA tournament was to be announced , oh Kanter suddenly has an injury... Later Kanter side posted a message saying he had an injection on the knee, then a change of mind and it was announced to be a surgery, an injectio and a surgery are totally different things... Very likely that he has not undergone anything , Maybe a few stiches to show.

Because I've never heard Burks dismiss the importance of defense like Kanter has.

The Jazz have always been really conservative with player information. If he did hurt the meniscus, it sounds like they repaired it instead of cutting it out. It makes for a longer recovery, but it also comes with a better long-term prognosis. Enes needs to get healthy, because Rudy Gobert is gunning for his job.
