No Kanter in the FIBA WC 2014 and His Injury is More Serious Than It Has Been Declared!

The Jazz have always been really conservative with player information. If he did hurt the meniscus, it sounds like they repaired it instead of cutting it out. It makes for a longer recovery, but it also comes with a better long-term prognosis. Enes needs to get healthy, because Rudy Gobert is gunning for his job.

In today's tip off Locke said a little bit about the situation. He was pretty careful with what he said -- didn't say the injury was less than the speculation -- but the bottom line was that he did say it's exactly what the Jazz already knew and nothing has changed.

Well ****.. that sucks.

I'm a big believer in Kanter. I think he's got major potential as a scorer and rebounder and he's got that nasty in him. I do think he has the work ethic to get there, but he needs a real offseason (see: after rookie season).

Maybe he won't break out this season like I was hoping due to the injury, but I do think he'll get there eventually. I want Kanter permanently in a Jazz uni.

This.

Have Jazz even confirmed any of this about Kanter?
How come a Turkish coach knows this and Jazz have not said a word?

I said it earlier, but I'll repeat it: I am not convinced that this is anything more than Kanter giving the middle finger to the Turkish team.

Lol. Apparently you might be right at the end.

Enes Kanter takes the drama to a whole new level!

I'm not going to stress out about Kanter's health issues. All of these news reports come from less than reputable sources with only bits and pieces of information.

The Jazz pay Kanter millions of dollars each year and he's entering his contract year. They know what his health situation is right now. Unlike the Turkish National team, they have a legal right to all of his medical files. If they're worried about him playing in the World Cup, they'll tell him and his agent that they don't think he should play.

Everything else is someone else twisting all this misinformation to fit their agenda of how Enes Kanter should be perceived. That, plus I think his agent is an idiot. Unless Enes is falls flat on his face or gets hurt again, he's going to get paid next year. I personally think he should hire a U. S. firm to represent him and repair his international image. Kid is losing a lot of money because of how he's being handled on that end if things.

Ok, I've been a big Kanter supporter in the past. But problem is he's just not bit/tall/long/athletic enough to play the C in this league due to his lack of defense. So he really needs to figure out how he can be effective in the NBA game. The Jazz has Favors playing the C now and with Gilbert waiting in the wing, that position is filled up.

So to me he needs to slim down ala his 2nd full season and be more mobile and really try to be that scoring PF. He won't need to do much defensively, but offensively he really needs to get it together and start shooting it. DL had already said he'll give opportunity for Kanter to shoot the 3 ball, so Kanter needs to take it upon himself this offseason to get in shape, get mobile, and start to work on his shooting.
