What's new

Game Thread Oct 10, 2024 06:00PM MT: Utah Jazz @ Dallas Mavericks (Preseason)

I don't care if Lauri bricks all his shots during the pre-season, what's important is the assertiveness he's showing right now and how he can maintain that moving forward.

Collier's passes are a little loose. Cody mishandled one, followed by a tough catch for Lauri resulting in another TO.

Basically called him trash and he shouldnt have been on the court during the WCF

Didn't the Wolves even win the Rudy minutes vs the Mavs?

Actually, I should not be a bum and check myself.

Game 1: +10 in 38 minutes (3 pt loss)
Game 2: +1 in 38 minutes (1 pt loss)
Game 3: -8 in 29 minutes (9 pt loss)
Game 4: +4 in 39 minutes (5 pt win)
Game 5: -23 in 26 minutes (21 pt loss)

So nope, lost the Rudy minutes too, mostly due to a brutal game 5 that was pretty disappointing from Minnesota all around.

Still easily a top two Wolf (Edwards finished the series pretty well).

I dont trust that shot but he need to take it

Yeah...if he get's it down that will take him to the next level. We got to give him that chance, especially this year. I think he's a lot better when he drives to the hoop in those iso situations but maybe he'll get more comfortable with that shot in time.

During the 22-23 season Lauri seemed to have it down, albeit on low volume. It's the type of shot for him that seems to be mostly affected by his overall confidence level depending on the night.

Lauri's iso game is clearly going to be a point of emphasis this year. No matter how that goes he can keep going back to his bread and butter which is what we're seeing now.

Either Dallas sets ****** screens, or the Jazz know how to play them. Mavs' ball handlers are facing multiple long defenders on their drives and curls.
