What's new

I mean I just see him launching a lot of long 3's. He starts off slow because "stopping" Donovan is the focal point of every defense we play. It takes a while to counter that and to move teams out of it.
It’s almost like they don’t want to allow him to do the easy stuff.

Mitchell is just forcing things. He needs to just play in the flow of the offense. It might be due to his increased focus on D causing him to be just a little out of sync. He'll be fine.
When you miss shots it’s forcing things… when they go in it’s being aggressive. He’s fine… there are a few shots I could do without but both primary defenders he has faced are dogs and are the types that give him issues. He will find his groove and some of these shots that aren’t great will fall too.

You want to debate the nuances of "forcing" things then you do you. By and large we said the same thing.

They are the same thing… which was kinda my point. He needs to be aggressive. Just needs to make a few more. There is enough evidence that he will. I don’t see him shooting a ton of awful shots… some mishandled balls and bad passes… he will get there… he needs to stay aggressive imo… even if it forces the issue a bit.

Looks like Oni is out, which might actually end up being significant. People will scoff, but the only notable thing Oni did post all star break was to get MPJ out of his groove during our last game of the year with Denver. He's one of our only wings with enough length to disrupt MPJ's shot.
