Official 5th Pick Poll (Who Ya Got)

Who Should the Jazz Select With the 5th Pick

I've made my decision. The Utah Jazz with the 5th pick take out of Arizona..Aaron Gordon. This is assuming that none of the top 4 are still available.

Burke
Hayward
Gordon
Favors
Kanter

Bench

Neto/Garret
Burks
Hayward
Gordon/Evans
Gobert

Eight man rotation draft BPA at 23 -TJ Warren, Inglis, Shazz (35) or GRIII, Payton, Payne, or use the 23 and 35 to move and get a higher ranked player.

Burks>Hayward

That is why I have him coming off the bench because he will be the man off the bench. Down the stretch whoever is playing better gets to play. Burks SG and Hayward moves to SF until A. Gordon proves he can make FTs. If it becomes apparent that Burks is better than Hayward then trade Hayward in a couple of years is AG becomes the player I think he can.

Aaron Gordon. All day. High Motor. Handles for size. Elite athlete. Shot 35% from 3. Exciting to watch. 49 inch vert. Measurements good. And only 18 right.

I especially like that 49 inch vert ;-)

Funny how so many people here are shouting for Gordon.

What does he have over Kirilenko? That dunk?

Attitude, fire, hunger, toughness, work ethic.

Imagine young healthy AK hungrier and tougher...... he would be an all star every year and one of the best all around players in the league

Watching the OKC game, it's obvious you want dominant athletes. You want quickness, you want length, you want drive. If Gordon could shoot the damn ball, I'd be all over him as our pick. But since he can't, I'm into Exum, Vonleh and possibly Smart.

If Gordon could shoot the ball he'd be a higher pick fo sure.

All Gordon needs to do is develop Matt Harpring's go to moves to add to what he already has. If he can do that, he could be a top 10 player, eventually. I believe that is doable.

Pretty interesting vid on Gordon.

He's just so bad a scoring...

Gordon isn't going to miss layups unless you defend him with a baseball bat AND a help defender. But if he develops that off the screen curl at the elbow, he could get that shot all day with the beef we will have in the middle.

I'm worried that at worst Gordon could be the next Derrick Williams and at best he could be the next Jeff Green. Maybe he'll be the exception and find a natural position and live up to all his potential but I'm glad I'm not the one that has to make that judgment and decision.

Aaron Gordon, aka a glorified Jeff Green

Gordon's got him in rebounding and not by much, everything else is a wash or in Green's favor

/cue 1,000 jazzfanzers overrating Gordon's defense

Acts a lot like Josh Smith with his shooting as well.
