OFFICIAL GAME THREAD PRE-SEASON VS BLAZERS 8PM MT

Plenty of improvements for Snyder to emphasize. Hopefully we adjust and improve throughout the preseason.

SO of the three things I was looking for:

1. Has Exum retained his speed: Yes. It appears that he has. Still a project, but at least he remains elite there.

2. Can Favors hit from range? 3-6 50% from longer than 10 feet. Small sample, but I like the trend.

3. Can our guards stop the smalls from Portland? Actually, not too shabby. Lillard and McCollum shot for 42% and 25% from downtown with 3 free throws between them. Jazz were killed by Portland's forwards lighting it up.

My only take away from this game: Exum looked and feel good.

That's enough for me.

He kindof looked the same except for his 3 pt shot looks SOLID He looks so quick but just doesn't know what he wants to do after he beats his man, hopefully with time he'll look less jittery and spaz like in the paint

Had we drafted McCollum instead of Burke and he had become the player he is today that would have been sweet. Would he have become as aggressive as he is had he not been playing w/Lillard? Had we drafted him what type of player would have he become playing next to G-time?

Better/worse/same?

Exum looks like he's the only Jazz that can get to the paint easily ,but he will frustrate as he's not great at finishing ....but I'll take that because AT LEAST Jazz do have someone that can get in the paint ,only a matter of time before he gets good there

What an ugly 2nd half. I know these halves happen every now and then, and it seems like the Blazers just match up well with the Jazz, and it's just the first preseason game, but it was still a bummer to see.

I'm hardly hitting a panic button yet. The pieces need some time to mesh together.

McCollum would still be better.

I don't think the Blazer bench bigs going 7-11 from downtown is a sustainable strategy. It can happen, but you are better off gameplanning for Lillard and McCollum. Need a little more from JJ and Diaw.
