What's new

Official Game Thread: Suns at Jazz, Tuesday, 4/24, 8:30 MT, TNT

I have to agree, the chemistry of the team appears to have been so much better without those three playing - corbin obv didnt like howard showing no conscience and missing 4 in a row in the first half - didnt get back onto the court.

Burks deserves his minutes, as does carroll - they seem to be better role players than the above 3.

Burks has to learn how to play defense without fouling. In the open court he is an animal, but he got destroyed by Michael Redd. Hopefully he can step up though, I feel as if we need him or Carroll to play exceptional basketball to have a chance.

If Howard had gotten starter minutes this game might have turned out differently. Thank you Corbin for keeping his chucker *** outta there!!

I understand that he had to try, but why the hell does Howard do that? A couple of them were nice shots within the offense, but two of them were just ridiculously bad shots.

It is awesome, because I had the exact same thought watching the game. "Apparently band aids are designed to blend in with lighter skin, don't they have one for darker shades?".

It's just like Crayola and their "flesh" colored crayons. It's just about the color of Al's band-aid.

Also, don't know if it has been mentioned, but Harris played great D on Nash most of the game. Nice pressing on the perimeter that made getting to his spots difficult. I really hope he can do the same to Parker.

Also, Millsap had a quiet 26, 15, 4, 3, 1 on 10/18 shooting and +21. Had he hit his foul shots, he would have had 30. I also don't even remember his man scoring on him very much at all. Who was it mostly, Dudley?

loved milly's stat line tonight...

really all our bigs.

our 3 bigs combined for 57 points, 42 rebounds, 8 blocks, and 4 steals

also hayward with 8 assists and 0 turnovers, making up for his poor shooting with defense and creating....

thats winning basketball.

proud of these guys.

This is a great experience for Favors, both the good and the bad. Gortat averages 16 pts./game. In their biggest game of the season, he ended up with 2 pts.

Favors development over this year has been nothing short of astounding. He gets my game ball. Sap was awesome, Al was a stud down the stretch, but Favors play in the first half was simply incredible. Can't wait for Saturday.

Big Al played a good overall game. Got to love how he handled the double teams tonight. He moved the ball around well.
Favors came in and gave us more spark on the defensive end. We've never had a player like him. I love it!
Carroll again showing he is nothing more than an energy scrub. He should not get any burn, but in garbage time in the playoffs (but he will).
Burks got schooled a few times, had some good plays, and some bad calls. Good to see him out there.
Harris had tons of energy. Sparked this team even with some bad plays here, and there.

Sap- make your freebies in the playoffs.

Who would you rather see than Carrolle? Howard almost single handidly cost us the game. When he was in during the 2nd quarter I'm not sure he made a single pass. Not even the normal kick the ball in passes he's supposed to make. I'm not a fan of Carrolle but I'd much rather him play than Howard or Bell.

Favors was spectacular last night. Millsap and Jefferson were really good as well. Harris and Hayward had tough starts but both made big plays in the 2nd half. Carrolle was invisible, which is not always a bad thing. Burks and Kanter were okay. Tinsley played really well, he'd have had 3-6 more assists if the Suns were not fouling evey guy he got the ball to that was wide open. Harris played really good defense on Nash and Tinley was better than I expected in his limited play against him. Howard was the very definition of terrible. Did not run the offense, did not pass the ball, and took every shot he could get up whether he was covered or not.

Last thing. Burks got abused by the ref. Redd was pushing him off and flopping all over the place and they gave him at least 2 fouls that were not fouls.

Favors' blocks on Gortat had him looking over his shoulder every time he shot. The missed layup in the 3rd quarter seemed to be a direct result of the guy having no confidence that he could even get a clean shot up.

Still saying Bell would be the best option (if he is healthy) because he can hit 3's. Carroll and Howard are just going to be clanking jump shots all playoffs. I like Carroll because he makes hustle plays though.
