Official Jazz workouts thread

Would be a great change of pace, but we are not the Timberwolves of a few years ago drafting multiple point guards, I get the concept of drafting a bunch and seeing which one pans out but if the scouts and general managers do their job we don't need to waste draft picks like the T'Wolves when they drafted Rubio, Flynn, and I forget who the other one was, I think it was Lawson and they traded him to Denver, I think, draft night, correct me if I am wrong.

I like Wolters at 21 and took some criticism for my comments after claiming my interest in him after the conference final and Michigan game. I also liked Schroeder after watching him in the Nike Hoops Summit. Granted this is a small amount of information to make a draft choice on but I would be fine with drafting both guys. The Jazz PG position was their major weakness. Besides I think both guys can play off the ball with their size in the right situation.

Of course they but will take some time to adjust to the NBA game so you either rent a vet for a couple of years or you just play the young guys let them learn on the fly so we can tank one year and be in place to grab Wiggins or Parker next year.

Mark my words teams will regret drafting a pg in the first round, unless we are talking about CJ McCollum and that's it. Yes you heard it here first CJ will be better then Burke. Not saying CJ is a better pg then Burks, but just a better player.

You need to get Wiggins and Parker out of your head. Even playing the young guys, the Jazz are not going to throw games the way Sacramento, Orlando, and the Bobcats will next year, and that's just to name the obvious ones.

Just like Larkin is too small to be a good starting pg. Burke isn't much bigger and not near the athlete Larkin is. For those that want to compare Burke's size to Paul's size don't Paul has incredible pg skills and was super athletic and quick as hell, and showed an uncanny ability to finish in the paint. Burke has none of this. I think Burke would be great if picked between picks 20 to 25, but sadly he will go top 5 or 6 and be a bust in my opinion.

That doesn't mean we won't have a bad enough record to have a legit shot at winning the lottery.

Andrew Harrison
Julius Randle
Aaron Gordon
.. as well as maybe Vonleh and Aaron Harrison

need to be added to Wiggins and Parker.

Andrew Harrison would impact our team as Wiggins, imo.

I think Randle is going to be as much an impact player as Wiggins when the chips are down. It helps that he's big and plays PF.

I see us drafting in the 10 - 12 range next year (maybe better). Our defense and rebounding are going to be legit. Plus, all of our young guys are going to get to the line.

Kasey Hill may still be there and is better than any PG in this draft (my opinion, of course).
I think we'll be looking at WCS next year in that range if we shed Al.

it's so tough to call right now because if tomic comes over and gives solid play for the jazz then that sets the 3 man rotation being pretty good. then what is going to happen with the pgs and wings.

randle could still be a sf/pf which I would be ok with.
