Official Locker Room Cleanout Thread

Burks talked about the rotation, asked if he thought it was fair? He said he couldn't answer that.
I take it is that means no.

Talked about playing all three positions, 1-2-3. Said management considers him as a combo guard. Said he doesn't care which he plays as long as he is playing, that's all that matters.

Said the 82 game season is rough. Even for a young guy like him.

Said he is going to go home for the summer and workout, also go to Santa Barbara as well. Also plans to work with the Jazz coaches as well.

Also considered the season as unsuccessful.

As much as Burks was shafted early on I was ok for the most part with his playing time.
There were games he should have played more, but he was apart of the rotation at least.

3 draft picks huh?

Bledsoe/draft pick/Tinsley
Burks/Foye/Murphy
Hayward/Marvin/Carroll
Favors/Evans/Draft Pick
Kanter/Draft Pick
????

So I couldn't post...but what I heard....

Watson is gone. Doesn't believe team is going to compete for a championship, felt like he sacrificed himself to rush back to cover for Mo. He said something interesting about Hayward. Said that Hay won't come back as good as he was at the end of the season becasue Hay takes time to learn his teamates and learn how he can make them better then tries to facilitate them before he starts looking for his. Hay will get better as season goes on and will be awesome if they ever get back to the playoffs.

Jazz players DeMarre Carroll and Jeremy Evans volunteered to do Jr Jazz caravan this summer.

Big Al also said:
'Johnathon told me to say that'

Johnathon Rinehart is the Jazz PR guy.

Big Al is a nice guy, but he is not the sharpest tool in the Shed, and doesn't do well with hard questions. I could see the Jazz trying to help him with a question that somebody was going to ask him.

Carroll is showing that he wants to be here and I truly hope the Jazz reward him for his efforts on and off the court. Say 3 year 9 million?

I see that in Hayward too. I've noticed his shooting and all that is not so good to start the year, and improves toward the end... and just when you think he will pick up where he left off.... the next year he starts slow again. Can we dream that he will take charge and let the other players adjust to him this time... and he will start strong? We can dream right?

and a new coach that will play him. but yeah stoked I want him here for a few years too. hes a good fit for the team, and plays his heart out most nights

Spence Checketts just said: Without going into much detail about why, I don't believe the Jazz will pick up the option on Kevin Murphy.

All I want is this:

Calderon / McCollum / Tinsley
Burks / Caldwell-Pope / Foye
Hayward / Carroll / Delfino
Kanter / Landry / Evans
Favors / Jaiteh

Tyrone Corbin said the Jazz are "further ahead" after 43-39 lottery season than after last year's 36-30, first round sweep.

Corbin: "I think the experiences we’ve had over the last two years will make us better down the road.”

So.. we made the playoffs last year, this year with all the "improvements" we missed the playoffs, and we're "further ahead"?

Wow.. that's fresh...

The west got dramatically better this year from last. I didn't think teams like Houston or Golden State would've been in it.

??? But Dallas & Lakers were dramatically worse???

Also if others are getting better, why shouldn't we get better as well? Can we afford to stay the same?

That's true, but the top got better as well. We had 5 fifty five win western conference teams this year. That number is unprecedented.

Yes, it's just that other teams managed to improve a lot more than Utah did. Certainly that can't be the fault of the head coach.

Holy ****. A non-idiotic response. There is no difference between regressing and not improving as much as the others. We're judging the Jazz against other teams, not against themselves.
