How old is that list?
Dunno for sure, but I can tell you how irrelevant it is.
It's at least ten years old btw.

Rockies lineup is very impressive. It's really too bad Tulo and Cargo will each miss about three months this season. Their pitching staff is so ****ing bad. No hope for that team.
Here's to hoping they can beat up on the Dodgers this season.

There is hope for them. Not this season, but in the future if they tear it all down and begin the rebuild. A couple things need to go right of course. Tulo and Cargo would need to stay healthy and be productive until the ASB(obviously not a given considering how often they have missed games due to injury in the past) when they could deal both for decent returns. Maybe throw in some money to get yourself something better(both of those guys combined are owed 171 million going forward). I would say try to get a nice team favorable deal with Arenado that guarantees him a lot of money while buying out a year or 2 of free agency in the process with the savings but I don't think you can. He's a Boras client and unless he personally wants to do that then Boras will advise against it.
As we have witnessed with the Cubs and the current CBA, MLB rewards the worst teams in baseball with not only draft positioning but also with higher draft and IFA budgets. The Rockies can't be content with mediocrity. The worst position a team can be in is where the Rockies are right now. Not good enough to get into the playoffs and not bad enough to take advantage of the benefits of being a terrible team. We both witnessed similar things with the Cubs post 2008. At least then the CBA didn't limit how much you could spend on drafts or IFA classes with severe penalties attached to significant overage.
Jorge Soler a god among men. No doubt he'll be the NL MVP.

He had a great game overall. Throwing Cozart out at 3rd on that botched pickoff attempt by Lester was a thing of beauty. That's not even counting the 2 2 run bombs and the single he ripped in the 10th. Shout out to Jumbo Diaz for throwing what should have been a neck high fastball(with how Pena was setting up out of the crouch) to Soler right down the middle and belt high. That was a beautiful mistake and I want to thank him for making it.
Bryant could be called up as soon as this weekend without having to worry about losing a year of control. Although many believe that it's more likely they will wait until next week's road trip to try to take some of the pressure that a Wrigley Field debut might put on him. Theo and Jed seem to prefer to do this with their top prospects so we'll see.
Can't decide which team has the worst TV announcers: the Rockies or the D-Backs. Both are beyond horrible.
It's particularly vexing that MLB Extra Innings does not give me the Giants feed whenever they play CO or AZ.
Now that I think about it, Arizona's are worse. They spend 75% of their hot air yakking about food options at the ballpark, and truly believe that Goldshmidt is going to homer every time he takes an AB.
That ish to Soler was just above his knees, not belt high. Either way, a terrible pitch.
Should be exciting to see Bryant. I don't think he'll be able to beat out Soler for ROTY, but it'll be exciting to see him hit some dingers. Exciting times in Wrigleyville for sure.

It will be a fun race. I just don't see Bryant being able to match Soler's production. Soler's approach at the plate is far more advanced and Bryant will have more K's and struggle more than Soler hitting with guys on base imo. Every time Soler hits the ball he hits it hard. But I've long been a Soler homer.I think Bryant will be the ROY personally. That's not to say it can't be Soler. I just think that Bryant overall has been motivated to excel at every level he has been at and that will continue at the Major Leagues. I disagree with Ugly that Bryant will just be a good and not great player. I see an MVP or two in his future as well as the ROY.
