Official NJ Nets Watch

How sad is it I am WAY more excited when the Nets lose than when the Jazz win? Anyway good to see Sacramento starting to win some games as it seems Toronto is unable to gain any ground on NJ despite all the losses!

New Jersey is officially eliminated from the playoffs with a loss today against Houston. And they're down big. Woo-hoo!

And Sacramento is making noise. A win tonight vs. Phoenix and the LA Kings of Anaheim would just be 2 back of the Brooklyn Bombers.

It was nice to see the Jazz rookies play with some fire in the 4th. At least Corbin is letting them play. Sloan would still be playing the vets 44 mins each trying to finish in 17th place instead of 19th. Hayward looks like a poor man's version of AK the way he drives wildly into the lane and loses his dribble. But he did have some moments on defense. Favors is raw, but you see the potential on both ends of the court. If he could ever develop a nasty streak...maybe that comes as he gains confidence in his game.

CJ is as consitent as ever...one good game followed by 5 bad ones.

Boy, what a disgusting time to be a Jazz fan. I'm so deflated from everything this year that I find myself pretty much numb to the fact that they can't seem to figure out how to win.

It pains me to say this but, Go ping pong ball race!

This is what rebuilding feels like. The last time was the year we drafted D.Will. That would have worked out if we didn't over-commit to AK and bet on Okur/Boozer as being out intimidating front court.

I'm starting to think the Jazz got a steal in the trade with NJ, simply for Favors and these picks, let alone what we might get with or by trading Harris.

Oh I know. And as much as it will help us to lose the rest of the games in the draft order, it still makes me upset to see it. I completley agree with your post though, we made great moves and certain players turned out to be completely offensive minded and soft. That is never going to cut it if you want a championship.

Hopefully we get it right this time around. It starts with the draft, let's see what the front office can do to get us rebuilt the right way.

Spot-on about Sacramento. They have been playing better lately, as has Golden State. GS has a bear of a sched though...
Knicks & Pistons need W's tonight! Can't stand to pull for Melo, but hope Knicks beat Nets anyway...

Sweet! I haven't been paying attention to the Nets for a few weeks. Good to see they are back to being the Nets.

They probably should have won tonight. Deron missed a chance to tie it with 2 second left from about 10 feet. He fell on his arm and was a little slow to get up. Anyway, Billups was chucking a little bit in crunch time which almost cost the Knicks the game.

Deron has been brutal since the trade, the more I watch him the more I think KOC did the right thing. He also fell and landed on his bad wrist again, probably wiping out any healing it managed over the last 2 weeks. They seem to be risking permanent damage by letting him play.

I don't remember the history, but didn't Billy King wreck the Sixers? He might be the new Isiah. If I was KOC, I would at least leave a message on his answering machine that we'll trade both our lottery picks for Deron. Youneverknow.
