Or the Jazz. Same ol', same ol' on the road. Jazz are embarrassingly bad away from Salt Lake.

I honestly feel like it has more to do with playing above average PGs than it does home or away. We just can't get anything going on either end when the other team has a good PG.

Wish we would have made a trade happen for Teague or even (shudder) Ty Lawson.

Burke and booker/picks for Teague would have been awesome.
I would be really confident that I would win my bet if we had teague on this team.
With neto, burke, and Mack I'm honestly thinking the jazz won't get to 42 wins.
I still think they make the playoffs though. I wanted to make a bet that the jazz would make the playoffs but that but was/isn't available.

I'm pretty confident that we make the playoffs

Man things are tight right now. Our schedule is pretty tough for the next several weeks. @Blazers on Sunday, then home agains Rockets, Spurs and Nets. Ideal world would be to go 3-1, but you'd have to swallow a 2-2. 1-3 would be completely disastrous, as we then play 5 of the next 7 on the road (including 4 straight), almost all against tough teams -- @Celtics, @Raps, @Grizz, @Pels, and then @Warriors (bleh) and @Kings. We have home games against the Hawks and the Wiz, hardly gimmies either. We're gonna find out what we're made of.

Obviously Sunday's game is HUGE for so many reasons, but most importantly the tie-breaker is at stake. Hopefully Lillard got it all out of his system tonight. Here's to hoping. After us, Portland has 2 at home followed by a 6 game road trip. Hopefully their momentum doesn't carry!

Mavs have lost a lot lately and are now only 2 games over .500. Remarkably, they are in poaching range, but they have a suuuuper easy 6 game homestand coming up. Thunder, Sixers, Nuggets, Magic, Wolves, Kings. They should probably have a 5-1 homestand there, which would put them back to 6 over .500.

Rox schedule is probably the same difficulty as ours. Hope they lose! Gonna be interesting to see how this plays out. We've got our work cut out for us.

I'm glad the schedule falls the way it does.

#1.) They (as a young ascending team) need to overcome adversity if they want to become a playoff caliber team. I have a lot of confidence that they will play well and get to that point, but I'd love to see them have to earn it every step of the way instead of backing their way into it. I think it will give them more mental toughness to play well in a 7 game series that way.

#2.) If you want to be an elite team, you have to win on the road. The Jazz suck in the road. The only way they get over that handicap is to push through it until they're almost as good on the road as they are at home. It will come in time, but these types of scheduling quirks force them to deal with it. I like that, and I hope they have enough juice to overcome that obstacle.

Winning in Portland on Sunday is critical. The Jazz need to separate themselves from the Blazers if they want to avoid being the 7th or 8th seed, and the only way to do that is to win. You have to beat your direct competition if you hope to develop into a legitimate playoff team.

We should get Burks back toward the end of this. Maybe on the early March road trip or Atlanta at home.

Huge games here..

Portland and Rockets..

we control our own destiny. I love it

this is going to be tough...lillard is coming off a giant game, I believe portlands overall confidence right now is really high.

I think we're still good. Houston and Memphis should be sliding.

Houston will be getting back Terrence Jones soon, who has been a key sub. They did trade Thornton away...maybe. The deal has still not cleared because Motiejunas failed his physical. Memphis IS 9 games over .500 so they'll likely slide, but enough for Utah to pass them...considering the Jazz' struggles on the road?

I'd probably bet on Utah getting the 8th seed ahead of Houston, but not quite catching Memphis. Portland is going to snag the 5th seed.
