OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

I cannot believe there are so many posters who want Boozer back. I think you need to go back and read how much Boozer was hated on this board. Some Jazz fans love bringing back former Jazz players thinking they are better or the same as they use to be. I would rather have AJ just walk away and get nothing than bring back Carlos "no defense/I get hurt" Boozer to the Jazz. It is time for the FUTURE and not reliving the PAST.

It's more like we'd grovel in the humiliation of him leaving all big headed and then getting spit out by Chicago. And watching Corbin bench him in clutch. And trading him for a younger asset next offseason. And he will be cheap utility.

The idea here is we could pick up Boozer of of waivers for somewhere in the 7m range, which is a steal for boozer!

Then one of two things happens..

He becomes a great third big for our team!!

We trade him with his new friendly contract for something we really want!!

IMHO, this would be such a great move for the Jazz if the bulls do Amnesty Boozer, would guarantee no Al!!

It has nothing to do with WANTING Boozer back and everything to do with terrified that KOC will bring Al back. Al's name continues to be dropped in reference to Chicago, and Boozer is the easiest trade. If you had to take one, the obvious answer is Boozer.

No I wouldn't trade for Boozer, his contract is to much!! Yes, to picking him up from waivers!!

Pau Gasol has a partial tear of his plantar fascia and is expected to be out at least six weeks, league source tells @CBSSports.

One option for Gasol is rehab, with estimated timetable of 6-8 weeks. Surgery would mean 10-12 weeks, with better chance of full recovery

With this finally stick a sock in David Locke's mouth and everyone else drooling over a $19mm flopping softie with no mileage left? If I hear his or Bargnani's name come up one more time...

Kris Joseph (waived by #Celtics) rejoins @maineredclaws under NBA Development League contract. #CelticsTalk

Celtics down 2 players and just cut a cheap contract, something is about to happen.

For the Jazz the Gasol news was huge. LAL and Portland were only two teams in west with real hopes of catching up to the Jazz and Rockets. Now LAL seemingly out of the picture with both Howard and Gasol hurt, Portland has a thin bench and may trade Hickson. Jazz could risk trading away Jefferson or Milsap and still feel comfortable making the playoffs.

Other note of interest....
