OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

I want to believe you gvc. But I'm pretty sure I was told last summer that this tradedeadline was where all the action would be. And last trade deadline I think I was told it would be the summer......

Rather than continuing to get my hopes up, I will just accept that the Jazz are who they are, and thats not bad.

Weren't reading anything of mine, then. Jazz have always been leading up to '13 off season. If nothing happens at that point, then you can start going on tilt.

I haven't been keeping up with the Raja news. Why are the Jazz holding onto him? Is it a pride thing? "Don't act like a douche or we will sit your @$$ at home with pay!"
\
Pretty much. There was also talk and denial by both sides that a buyout agreement had been reached before the season began. Raja likely wanted most of his contract paid. Jazz probably wanted to let him go for just time served. What I think happened is that no team wanted Raja for the value of his contract, so Bell decided the better option was to simply make the Jazz pay him his $3M rather than accept a buyout for close to nothing, then perhaps get a vet minimum contract - or worse, no contract at all.

Hoopshype dump
David Aldridge: Nets still hanging on by a thread in Josh Smith talks, while Bucks look like leaders with less than an hour to go.

Adrian Wojnarowski: Atlanta and Milwaukee still seriously engaged on Josh Smith, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Alex Kennedy: Most league sources I've talked to believe that the Bucks are the favorite to land Josh Smith. The question: What will they have to give up?

friendly reminder: GMs can go beyond 3PM deadline if they notify the league office that they are working on something

Marc Stein: IF (repeat: IF) Beno Udrih NOT dealt to Atlanta in a Josh Smith trade, Bucks' proposed return in talks w/DAL has been Beaubois/Dahntay

Marc Stein: OKC and Portland seriously discussing a deal that would send Eric Maynor to Blazers, I'm told

Josh Robbins: The Magic are working on a 3-way trade, which would include J.J. Redick. Milwaukee is one of the teams

It's past the deadline and it doesn't look like we're doing anything?

I didn't think I'd care that much, but I'm so disappointed I feel like I'm about to cry.

There hasn't been any confirmation that we haven't done anything though. We won't know for sure until about 10 minutes after the deadline, or someone says so.

I was really hoping for a trade...but it felt too good to be true. Lets just go with what we got and get bounced in the 1st round again....maybe we'll take the series to 5 games instead of 4
