What's new

Official UofU homer thread

Speaking of tall things, I should have taken a picture of the structure for the new video board. It's looking bigger than I expected it would.

Another Jakub? Awesome, more size is always good(that's what she said)

Looks like Mawien is going to transfer to JC because his playing time would be limited with all this big talent

Also - " 6-foot-5 Harold Baruti, a three-star (Rivals) small forward out of Mountain Mission School in Grundy, Va., announced he was committing to Utah."

Our team is going to look vastly different next year, I'm excited to see all the new talent!

hot damn, baruti got some ups

So excited for next season football and basketball, recently switched to XFinity so I'll have Pac 12....**** directv

Renew them. We will have more talent than last year. I expect us to be 4-6 in the PAC-12 and an 8 seed. Should be a fun season.

Moeai gets another year. We are stacked at TE. Our offense is finally obtaining an identity that fits with Whit's philosophy. I'm pumped. Our biggest question is LB.

I would be very happy with that. We will have a younger team so I expect some growing pains, but we also are deeper and are returning two starters.

Dillon Brooks and Tyler Dorsey just withdrew their names from the draft so the Ducks are going to be really good next season.

Arizona and UCLA both are bringing in a crazy amount of talent.

If I were to predict now I would say we'd finish more towards 6th in the pac-12 than 4th because of the inexperience.

I have no problem with that. The question is how much does Bonham improve, how much does Kuzma improve, and how good are Johnson and Barefield.

If Kuzma can take another step forward, if Johnson is the real deal and as good as everyone says he is and if Barefield lives up to his recruiting hype, we will be really, really good.

IF. ha ha.

This is a rebuild year.
If we end up 6th, I will be tickled pink.
And next year... ya. We should be fine in the long run.
Ya, I think I'll renew the tickets.

The basketball team is at the point where Utah football was after the 2013 season. You knew 2014 would be a 8-9 win season but that 2015 could end up being something very special...and it almost was.

Next year we will have talent but will be young and inexperienced. 2017-2018 season should be one where we compete for the PAC-12 title. Enjoy next year and get ready for something special the year after.

Im proud of the utes for changing their minds and agreeing to play byu in basketball next year. Good job utah utes. (even though i was kind of looking forward to a break from the rivalry)
