Official UofU homer thread

PAC-12 refs suck. There is no way around that. They make terrible game deciding calls a lot. I dont think they are trying to help one team or another they just are inconsistent and miss calls.

That said Utah has made a living under Whitt as a team being overly physical in their secondary. That is their calling card on defense a great line and a secondary that is physical and could have a flag thrown on them any play. They force the refs to make hard calls and start out being physical and try and maintain that throughout the game. I think it is a great strategy and I have always wondered why more teams dont play that way. They also get teams to get frustrated and retaliate which usually gets the call.

Watching the replay Tim Patrick had a worse game than I though. When's the last time Utah had a true number one wideout that they can count on game in game out? This is the task for Guy Holliday, find him.

Utah vs Indiana
Just saw this I think
What does everyone think

Kinda ****ty for Utah. They deserve a better opponent but better not go into it with that same attitude. Use it as a **** you bowl selection..whatever.

Indiana's QB has -171 rushing yards on the season. He gets sacked a lot and isnt a running threat. Utah is going to beat them. To Indiana's credit they keep games close though, so maybe it won't be a blowout.

I would be super pissed if I were Utah tho, but at least they didnt give you Maryland.

Why? You really think a 6-6 team who just fired their head coach is dangerous? Will Indiana fans even show up for the game all the way out in Cali?

Those are good points I truthfully I hadn't considered. They did play some of the best teams in the country really tough, having lost to Michigan by just 10 in Ann Arbor, Penn State by 14, and Ohio State by 21 in Columbus in a game that I believe OSU pulled away in the 4th.

Your points are valid but they could also be used as bulletin board material for Indiana, those players want to end the season with a win and they will probably use their circumstances as a chip on their shoulder. Also their starting QB Diamont retired.

Utes gonna have a tough game with Indiana.

Nah, he is just a QB they had who retired, that's not the guy who started the entire year.

Would rather play indiana than wyoming. Wyoming is the worst case scenario imo.

Goes back to the mwc days. Just hate everything about that program. Fans, uniforms, stadium, ****ty weather, etc etc.
I have always hated them.

I think hating wyoming is one of those things that actually unites byu and utah fans (liking the jazz being another. )

If Utah is pissed off about the bowl game they're playing in, or the opponent they are playing, maybe they should try not losing to Cal and Oregon. IMO, they deserve exactly what they ended up with.
I expected to be in the Vegas Bowl again. So Utah has nothing to be pissed about. Stop, blowing your whole season against **** opponents in the last few weeks of the season then they can complain.
