Official Utah/Minnesota/Philadelphia Pick Watch

Blazers went from a 30 point lead to down 15 to the Warriors. Mostly moot but would rather the Blazers won.

Jazz could have beat the Spurs if anything else could have worked out for us tonight

The clips laying an egg… some real ********

Minny was prety solid tonight. Not bright but solid specially in defense. Quite surprising. Rudy was okay, Mike not that good. But they win. competition at West will be tense until the last games.

This one ****ing blows. Minnesota could have been two games under .500 with a hard schedule coming up. ****ing Clippers.

Whoever said that Minny played good owes me 1 hour of my life back. That was an ugly game of sloppy turnovers and missed shots. Clippers "big 3" is going to fall so flat even Kyrie gonna think its too flat.

Surprising though that Russ wasnt the primary commander of ugly on the Clippers side even though he had a hilarious fastbreak turnover in the 4th. Leonard missed everything from midrange all game and George eventually sank the boat at the start of the 4th.

They had 8 possessions with PG on the court to start the 4th (Russ and Leonard both on the bench).
4 ended in PG missing a shot
1 ended in PG sloppy turnover
All other 3 ended in either Batum or Powell actually scoring points

Coincidentally, Batum and Powell combined for as many points in the 4th as Kawhi, PG and Russ did.... except with half the shots. Powell did miss two 3s in the end though with a chance to make it a one score game on both shots.

I look at the game and have to disagree. This was a defensive game, not a bad game. Ant and MC Daniels have been huge in defense against PG and Kawhi. Kind of grind tonight. Not nice to watch but Minny don't have much choice, they don't have enough offense power until KAT back so they have to fight.

Minnesota played ok. I wasnt saying they were responsible for the sloppy albeit Ant was bad offensively but that had a lot to do with Clippers defense and less about him playing bad.

I'm saying Clippers were sloppy and blew that game away. Their "big 3" didn't look the part all night and they didnt get hot at any point and make any runs after the first quarter. Also Kawhi passing to Ant does not count as great defense, but Ant did play with high effort on that end. McDaniels was their best player though on both ends.

Had to go and check the shot chart if I was imagining things. This is the combined shot chart for Russ, PG and Kawhi. Guess all of the misses werent midrange but lots of missed shots none of which were deflected.
They hit 4 two pointers from 10 or more feet out and missed 13.

clips just weren’t up for the fight. Effort wasn’t there all game. They actually look like they don’t care, really boring team to watch. Zubac is turning into a special type of terrible as well. Always brings the ball down, zero offensive rebounding, not good. So glad we have Kessler

Yeah it was funny when they put in Plumlee he immediately looked so much more dominant on the boards. Too bad they made him dribble the ball and he earned his way back to the bench really fast. I cannot decide which one was more funny, the "spin move" turnover or the "behind the back" turnover he had when driving with the ball.

Russ has been terrible. He was a cancer for the Lakers and he’ll be a cancer for the Clippers. Too bad it didn’t hurt the Wolves this time, but there’s still hope their schedule dooms them. Still hoping for a top 10 pick somewhere.

It is kind of shocking how bad Russell has become. From his MVP days of actually being a true threat on the court, to becoming straight up a clown on the court, the fall is staggering. I mean, he was never Harden (or Steph, or KD, or whoever)-level good, but his teams competed and he was, for a while there, among the very best in the league, first guy to average a triple double since what, the 60's? Now, barely even a punch-line. Crazy.

We’ve been saying for like 3 months “the Wolves are going to fall on their face with this upcoming schedule” and they simply haven’t any of those times.

At this point I think they end up in the play in and it’ll all be down to matchups at that point.
