Possibly. But I suspect the possibility of a Rose Bowl and national championship is a bigger incentive than "we beat BYU last year" to most kids.

The Pac 12 has 5 teams in the AP top 25 right now (most of which are on Utah's schedule) plus another that is 4th on the receiving votes list, who is also on Utah's schedule.

Say what you want about the conference being weak, but the rest of the nation disagrees with you.

Your whole post just reeked of a crying little baby. That's all. If it wasn't then my bad and sorry but that was my take and it seemed pretty clear. And you answer again with a long drawn-out post (much like jazzfan12 does).

When that happens I'm like "Whoa, opened up a can-o-worms there. Yikes!".

And Oregon State just beat Wisconsin and they get Utah's Bitch later this season.

Yeah, there are bottom dwellers in the conference (Utah may very well be one of them this season) but if you are saying a conference is only as strong as it's weakest links, then no conference is strong.
 
I love that little brother is downplaying not only the importance of this game but also downplaying a loss here. Nice mindset. But that's the fanbase for you.

For those of you with contacts you know it's a whole nuther story within the program.
 
And I've mentioned before the Pac12 has been due for a rebound year. Two top-5ers and then usually one other team rotates in.

I actually wouldn't be surprised to see this game come down to the wire... Or to see Utah win.

BYU hasn't shown the ability to run the ball consistently and those ducks Nelson throws will be picked off.

The problem is... Utah's offense is barf no matter who plays QB. Which is a damn shame. BYU and Utah have some great receivers. It's too bad that the best QB in the state plays up in Logan. Imagine how good the "big boys" had a QB like Keaton (or like many upper tier Div I schools) who had the ability to throw the rock around consistently.

I think that Utah fans are scared, and with good reason. BYU has shown well so far, and Utah hasn't met expectations. I know I'm not feeling so great about Saturday.

That being said, I don't think Hays should be counted out. I think saying the offense is barf is a little too far out there. Hays is a solid QB, our receiver core is better, the line is learning, and we have a lot of depth at running back.

But I think you're right... KEETON (spelling Nazi at work here) is the best quarterback in the state, by far. And good for USU!
 
Oh, and I agree with the conference talk stuff. BYU fans are in NO position to speak to the strength or weakness of the PAC-12.

We had lots of opportunities against USC? Well... ya. WE GET TO PLAY THEM. You don't. Jealous much?
 
LOL at BYU being jealous about a Pac12 schedule. Geez, we play 3 Pac12 teams anyway and are 9-5 against them in Bronco's tenure I believe.
 
With no suprise what so ever, this thread has gone so astray that the resident Jazzfanz tough guy has yet again resorted to suggesting that people who argue with him on an internet message board should meet him face-to-face for some type of physical confrontation.

It's amazing how tough some people are with a keyboard at their disposal.

So what you're saying, is that Utah will be lucky to finish 7th in the Pac 12 this year.

Hearing stuff all over the map about White's availability for Saturday. The only thing I can take from it is that probably nobody knows at this point, not even JWIV. I do follow him on Instagram though and he seems rather chipper. I'm optimistic.

Agreed. Ute fans in here are like crickets to me. They chirp and chirp until I walk by then they STFU.
