Good post.In the case of Utah, who gets none of my tithing dollars, the money IS important. It's important to the football program, to the whole athletics program, and important to the whole institution. I guess if you want to look at that as somehow dishonorable, that's your prerogative.
On the other side of the coin, BYU's ESPN deal was a huge upgrade. Comparing the two is just another apples v. oranges discussion, because the two programs are so radically different in approach and philosophy.
I approve of the black helmets. Is our jersey going to be different as well?
Love the helmet. ASU's gonna be tough. Utah HAS GOT to find a way to run the ball. It keeps Hays off his back and allows Utah to actually be effective with play action. If Utah can't run, I think it's gonna be a long night.
I think they will be able to run with the new helmets.
It's about confidence, not ability.
I heard some guys on 1280 AM going off about DirecTV yesterday (?). Is it true that DirecTV customers will be be unable to watch the Utah-Arizona State game this week, and unable to watch all other games that are only on the Pac-12 network this year?
I think the new helmets will function better if they are in focus. Or is the lack of focus a deliberate tactic to make the head area be fuzzy so as to confuse the opponents while trying to tackle the Ute running backs?
Suprised more BYU fans aren't over in the Cougar thread talking about tonights match-up with Boise State. I thought it would be a big deal, but I don't think I've seen a single post on it yet. (could be wrong)
How do you guys like your chances tonight?
