Offseason Random Twitter Comments about Jazz Players

Malone might be the best I ever saw at that skill...he could be rolling into the basket at full speed on the break and so softly put it in it was amazing..he rarely missed layups at any speed or either side...he had great control at the rim...loved it.
AS much as I absolutely DESPISE Boozer, Carlos i a magician around the rim. He can use either hand and a variety of angles. But, kind of like that Wizard of Oz song..."If He Only Had a Brain" (and a willingness to play just one iota of defense).

All he really needs to do is take a half-step. He's been great in the 2nd half of each year (not counting the playoffs) after getting off to extremely slow starts. I think the Select team experience is really going to show in terms of Favors' and Hayward's games and mental toughness.

He just need to become more consistent then. We both like what we've seen in spurts, but we need to see it every game.
I agree with the select team thing. I think it will help his confidence level knowing he was part of that elite group, and played well.

Had a great lunch with @Lockedonsports it was good catching up

Its great to have the players back in town so we start to hear things about what there doing with the team again.

This can only mean one thing:

Enes Kanter ‏@Enes_Kanter
Eating dinner @cheesecake downtown, looking for a blonde to eat dinner with me at my table. Does anyone wanna join me ?

Enes Kanter ‏@Enes_Kanter
Just finished dinner. Thanks Twitter <3 Now need a massage. BRUNETTES WELCOME ;)

Kanter's enes needs some attention.

From @saltcityhoops:

Enes Kanter is discovering what I've been hoping for years a Jazz player would realize: w/ just a little personality they can run this town.

He is going to have to do a lot more than impersonate Fesenko to "run this town.". No improvement this year and he probably have his *** ran out.

Have you guys discussed the Kanter tweets from yesterday?

Re: eating at cheesecake factory and asking if any blondes want to join him .. Followed by a later tweet .. "or brunettes"

Lol

So this is not a tweet but it is something worth noting:

John Tom
Looking back I’m starting to think the 2011 draft was underrated. At a glance you got K-Irving, Jonas V, Biyombo, B Knight, Klay, Burks, Kawhi, Farried, Marshon… all players I could see staying in the league for 9-10 years. Were you surprised at how well this class performed with no training camp?

Steve Kyler
Not really… Jonas hasn’t played yet, but the rest had good resumes and strong work ethic. I think we’ll have to see how they look as sophomores, but of the 60 guys drafted, there is a good dozen or so that have real potential:

Kyrie Irving
Jonas Valančiūnas
Bismack Biyombo
Brandon Knight
Kemba Walker
Klay Thompson
Alec Burks
Markieff Morris
Kawhi Leonard
Iman Shumpert
Chris Singleton
Kenneth Faried
MarShon Brooks
Norris Cole
Jimmy Butler
Chandler Parsons
Josh Selby
Lavoy Allen
Isaiah Thomas

I'm bitter-sweet on the whole thing. Burks gets a mention but Kanter is nowhere to be found. Hopefully Kanter can show people that he belongs in the NBA.

lol @ everyone dismissing Kanter after his rookie year. Everyone knew he was a project coming in. He did better his rookie year than I thought he would.

Here is another article:

Again, Burks is mentioned but nothing about Kanter:

Alec Burks, Utah Jazz
Burks was arguably the most impressive player in the Orlando Summer League. The 21-year-old was unstoppable during the week-long event, averaging 17.2 points and dropping 31 points in one of the games. He was able to score in a variety of ways and he really impressed the coaching staff. Last year, Burks played in 59 games, but he didn’t record a single start and his minutes were limited for much of the season. This year, he should have a bigger role, even though Utah signed veteran shooting guard Randy Foye this offseason. Burks was the 12th overall pick in last year’s draft and it’s only a matter of time until he becomes a key piece for the Jazz.

Is it too early for me to be mad at Corbin for giving Foye all of Burks' minutes?

if foye cracks 20 mpg, then somebody i like a lot more isn't getting enough PT. hayward has been our best player for a moment or two at a time, burks sounds like he's ready to take a big step, and i think still say the world is underestimating what marvin can still do. those are three guys who should get 20-30 minutes each of the 96 minutes available in the wing rotation, and in a couple of cases, 25-30 sounds more accurate. foye just simply can't play 20+.

Foye is definetely the early candidate for "Jazz guy I want off the team." After Al of course.

I completely agree with this. That signing was nice at first but then as it sank in I got more and more worried. At least we know that Bell is completely out of the picture.

I'm having hope that they learned their lesson by Foye only inking a 1 year deal. I say Foye is 3rd string.

i think he'll probably be the 4th wing, which i'm ok with. i'd rather he play those last 15-20 rotation minutes than carroll or (at this point) murphy. but if he starts playing more than the other 3, i'll be fairly miffed.
