Offseason Random Twitter Comments about Jazz Players

Im still high on Foye, personally. Throwing a prediction out there that our staff will play him quite a few minutes at backup point. Some like NBAnerd vehemently disagree, but whatever. Its been a while since he has, and his team last year already had 4 PGs, but I personally think that Ty will certainly experiment with him at the 1.

he might experiment with it, but that doesn't mean the experiment won't fail like it has every time a coach thought he could activate foye's inner point guard that hides deep within.

If the Jazz were to re-sign Millsap and let Al walk, there might be a $ figure the Nuggs aren't willing to match on Ty Lawson next offseason. With Marvin+picks to upgrade at the wing an 8 man rotation of Favors-Kanter-Millsap-Hayward-Burks-Wing-Lawson-BackupPG(?) could work really well together.

I llke this Idea. I think that team could be a top 4 team in the west. They would have an identity as a running/Pick and Roll team that could be really good defensively.

As a starter, I would completely agree with you. As a backup?? You could sure do a hell of a lot worse. I guess we will see what happens.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!! Tough-nosed, fast paced team play.

I want to take an AMC eagle, lift it about four inches and see if I can take Hells Revenge with it.

Isn't it wierd that our entire team is full of young potential except the point guard?

2: Burks
3: Hayward
4: Favors
5: Kanter

Honorable Mention: Jeremy, Kevin.

None of them are point guards. There is reason to this, the Point is the hardest position to learn, and I guess that they think that if they have experience at the point then the rest of the positions will take care of themselves.

Edit: heh, ages and draft years are decieving. Evans is only a year younger than both Carroll and Marvin, who are only a year younger than Paul and Al. Really a young group of guys overall.

Edit 2: (is that kosher, to edit twice? probably not.) By signing older vet point guards, the Jazz will be better financially able to re-sign their young talent. No max contract at the point guard.
