Exum - He is so raw offensively he needs to focus on really improving a couple main things this offseason - 3 point shooting and finishing on drives (scoring within 5 feet). Exum has elite quickness, but cannot utilize that gift because he cannot score after he beats his man. He needs to work on floaters, layups, finishing with contact, scoring over the bigs, and taking it strong to the hoop. He needs to get out of the habit of driving to the baseline. He does it at least 5 times a game and it drives me nuts. It limits his options and gives the defense an extra defender. Along with that he needs to improve his 3 point shooting. If he can shoot 37-40% from 3 AND be a threat to score on the drive I will be stoked with his development. He has a LONG way to go offensively and will need 3 or 4 offseasons to develop a full offensive repertoire. Desired Stat Line: 8 pts, 3 rbs, and 6 ast
Gobert - I think Gobert's offseason plan has to be get stronger (10-15 pounds of muscle) and extend his range out to the free throw line. He has great form for a big man on his free throws, so it is reasonable to expect him to be able to hit a 10 to 15 footer consistently. This will create better spacing when he and Favors are on the floor together. Desired Stat Line: 10 pts, 14 rbs, and 3 blk
Hood - Hood has been a pleasant surprise this season. He already has such an advanced offensive game that I think just fine tuning every aspect is all he needs. I can't think of the last Jazz rookie I have felt that way about, he could be special. I'd like to see him up his fg% to 45% and his 3pt% to 40%. This means better shot selection and continued work on his shot. I'd also like him to get that foot healthy and get his body ready to play a full season next year. Desired Stat Line: 13 pts, 3 rbs, and 3 ast
Burke - He needs to work on shooting and passing. His fg%'s are awful and needs to improve. He needs to work on that jumpshot and shoot a respectable % next year. I'd also like to see him learn how to be a pg and find the open man. He is always taking shots when there is a guy wide open for a 3 or cutting to the basket. If he can improve his court vision and be a willing passer I will be happy. Desired Stat Line: 12 pts, 3 rbs, and 5 ast - shooting at least 43%fg and 37% on 3's
Burks - Recover and work on his 3 pt shooting. Hayward, Burks, and Hood could be a very solid 3 man wing rotation. Maybe even add a lottery pick to the group and I am liking our wings right now. Desired Stat Line: 14 pts, 4 rbs, and 4 ast
Hayward - Like Hood, just work on improving every aspect on offense and be more effecient. He has a very solid all around game, but like Hood, 45%fg and 40% 3pt shoot be his goal. With Burks back, and with Exum, Burke, and Hood improving he won't have to shoulder the entire offensive load and should get some more open looks next year. Desired Stat Line: 20 pts, 5 rbs, and 4 ast
Favors - With Favors it's not a matter of what I want him to work on, but what I DON"T want him working on. I do not want him working on 3 point shooting, at all. He has become effective out to about 17 ft and I want him to continue to work on that. I want him to focus on developing go-to moves with his back to the basket and jumpshots. If we start having him hanging out around the 3 point line it will limit his effectiveness. I would prefer Gobert working on threes right now than Favors because Favors is so close to becoming a dominant offensive big man. He had 18 and 11 in 22 minutes last night. He needs to keep improving on what he is doing well right now. Desired Stat Line: 17 pts, 10 rbs, and 2 blk
