Players that could be had for Memo TPE

Very true. I'm sure he's felt like his hands were tied and probably was pretty frustrated when he couldn't go after certain players that were available. Look how quick he dealt Deron. Look at the kind of players we've signed so far. Trading Okur had to be hard but it's starting to seem like there's a vision that KOC has. I just wish I knew if we were holding onto the TPE for a bad contract combined with 2012 high draft picks. That's what I'd do, if I were him.

Exactly, that's what I'm thinking. Get a deal like Clevland got for taking on Baron Davis and a pick. Then you could amnesty that player. That's if the Jazz are willing to pay for player that doesn't play for them.
Or look at teams that maybe want to unload someone but is a good player. That way that team could get under the tax

Can't amnesty a player you acquire. So that's out.

He has no pressure to win now. I trust the guy completely.

The great thing is I really think KOC is going to ace this. He's no longer the GM trying to put parts around superstars and appease a coach who has more power than him. He's now the guy who can put any team he wants on the floor.

Yeah, I'll always be a Sloan fan, but it kinda makes me all warm and fuzzy thinking about what KOC is setting up to do over the next year or two. I've got a really good feeling about this, and I never get good feelings. Ever.

Rajon Rondo. Book it.

Donny Marshall: I don't think it's off the radar yet to say Rondo is going to be with this team for the entire season. I spoke with an agent earlier in the week who said this thing is still hot. To have people pay attention to Rondo's temperment, to see how he goes and plays, to see if he leaves it all out there....

They're still talking about this, about maybe moving Rondo somewhere out west... in a warm spot.

Gary Tanguay: Have we anticipated the location?

Donny Marshall: I think a lot of people would be surprised.

Rando makes 10,045,454 this season.

Oh ****.

That would be crazy if we could get Rondo for a TPE. We would almost certainly have to trade Harris off to someone then.
Why? Tinsley is gone next year and we have roster space. I don't think it's unheard of for the Jazz to have 4 PG instead of their usual 3. Besides, can you imagine Harris coming off the bench? That would please me greatly.

We would be paying our backup PG 10 million (ish, his contract's value escapes me). I would rather just trade that and get something in return like a 1st rounder or something and just pay Earl and Tinsley low amounts to take the 10-15 mpg.

Anways, the hint "a warm spot out West" pretty much makes us not apart of were this guy thinks Rondo is getting traded.

Boston's not giving Rondo away so the TPE is irrelevant. A Harris/Rondo deal isn't out of the question, but we have to sweeten that and what would we give up that Boston would want?

Harris, looked it up he makes 9 million this year, probably a little more than that next year.

OH, OUCH. I thought you were saying Rajon would be Harris' backup (you see where that would be going). Harris' contract makes Rondo's look almost okay.

I wouldn't be surprised at San Antonio swapping Parker for Rondo, or something along those lines. I think Parker and the Spurs had some unrest last year and they looked into trading him. Now Rondo and Celtics are having unrest, a change of scenery would make sense for both.

Or Phoenix. Trading Nash, giving the Celtics this last year at a shot for another title and giving Phoenix a good young PG.
