I don't think any of you have to worry. The jazz are not going to trade young players for vets.
Keep in mind that the goal of radio hosts is to get viewership. So they will say anything to rankle the fans into a frenzy, so they call a lot.
Locke loves to tell callers off.
Believe it or not, I once had most of the 1280 staff pissed at me, and calling me out on the air, because I wrote a bunch of stuff on their blog blasting the refs for the 08 series against the Lakers. I stood by my remarks, and a bunch of people called me to tell me that at least 3 hosts were calling me a bunch of crap on the air for what I said.
Is that hard to believe or what!
I haven't listened to 1280 or KFAN for ages, and I am better off. Most of what they say is made up. Rarely did I ever get much good insight from listening to them. With the internet these days, news travels fast and easy, so talk radio does not have a leg up.
As for locke, he's ok sometimes, but in small doses. Sometimes his stats are interesting, but mostly worthless, and if any fan calls in with stats, he won't listen to them.
But I can't stand his game announcing. He's always constantly at least 10 seconds behind the action, and he is always reading advertisements.
He's going on and on about Group Sattelite and I hear the crowd roar and then groan and then Locke says "Here's Millsap, quick pass to Hayward, who fumbles the ball, picked up by Al, passes outside to Raja for a 3 point shot, and he makes it, but the shot clock went off first, so they wave it off"
As if he was telling it live.
