Police Brutality

Wow, I used to think Franklin was smart. This is like saying, "Shark brutality. A man was eaten by a shark while swimming with great whites."

-11, guy. You have no clue how brutal tazers can be, do you? There is a reason they are classified at the bottom of "less than lethal" and not under "Empty Hand Control".

I suppose this means you reject force continuum and established US legal precedents outright.

Supporting the offensive use of tazers to detain unarmed, non-hazardous citizens is akin to supporting a pit maneuver on a speeding Camaro as an alternative to flashing lights and sirens, regardless of whether or not Jeremy Evans is jumping over it at the time.

Just about every law enforcement agency has a Use of Force Policy, and this is widely considered a violation of policy as well as human rights.

Here's a link provided by National Institute of Justice with a couple hundred such policies:

If you run from the police, using a taser is justifiable. What if she got into another car and ran someone over trying to get away? Then what? You stop a problem before it becomes a bigger problem.

Go on. Let's hear the justification.

She also had cocaine and Oxycodone in her system.

-Taking harsh drugs

-Driving with a suspended license

-Leaving the scene of two accidents

-Fleeing from a police car after being arrested

Bad decisions lead to sad consequences, the officer could have very well tackled her as well and made her hit her head.

The point is don't put yourself in bad situations.

Isn't it funny when your self-righteousness causes you to go against your religious convictions? Your merciless stance is harsher than the Law of Moses, something Mormonism rejects as past its time. Supporting unreasonable force is also unconstitutional. You better have a chat with bish about your anti-Americanness.

It has nothing to do with my religious beliefs it has to do with my common sense beliefs. Don't run from cops. Don't hit and run. Don't do drugs. Don't be a moron.

I'm not saying necessarily that the cop had to use the taser. In a perfect world, there could have been a better solution and outcome. I'm just saying that she asked for it by being a moron.

Are you claiming you're beanclown?

Oh. It looked to me like you were supporting the cop.
I have no problem indicting the girl for her crimes. Hell, the girl's own mother says she wasn't an angel by any means.

How did you turn this religious? If a woman is going to put others in danger because of her actions then she can be forcibly taken down if she won't be taken in peacefully.

She obviously didn't care about the citizens around her so therefore it's hard to find compassion for her.

Also what if the police officer was hit and killed by a car while trying to chasing her?

Or she caused an accident that killed an innocent civilian.

If the officer considered her a danger to society then he should have handcuffed her properly (behind the back instead of in front) and to a chair. Instead he sat her down and turned away, then asked "where ya goin" when she was by the door instead of chasing after her, ya know, as a good cop would chase after a crazed lunatic threat to society. That's why the PD is spinning this as stopping her from harming herself by running into the highway off in the distance. The PD is acknowledging that use of deadly force was not justified based on her being a threat to society.

Law enforcement based on what if... another beanclownism.

I'll throw you dolts a bone. She was leaving a jailhouse although not yet convicted. Even liberal Washington state allows deadly force for containing those charged with a felony but not yet convicted. RCW 9A.16.040. Section (1), subsection (c) says in part:

(1) Homicide or the use of deadly force is justifiable in the following cases:
(c) When necessarily used by a peace officer or person acting under the officer's command and in the officer's aid:...

(iii) To prevent the escape of a person from a county or city jail or holding facility if the person has been arrested for, charged with, or convicted of a felony; or

Yee-haw John Wayne! Cowboy justice FTW!!!!1! "Dat bitch got wut she dezerved. Look at me I so dam righteous!"

1842 prairie called and wants you back.

We should post snipers above busy streets so they can kill anyone trying to j-walk, to protect that person from harming them-self, and just in case they cause an accident that kills someone.

She really did deserve to be put down.

In the good ole days they would have hobbled her. See what you do is tie her down and put ablock or something between her ankles. Then you give them feet a good whackin with a hammer and presto! Your perps no longer try to run away!

That way the cops no longer have to taser people.

I haven't scrolled through every post but my question is, why the hell didn't he just continue to pursue and grab or tackle her? Upon their entry into the video, he's less than five feet behind her.

How could this be tolerated by such a Christian nation?

I thought only Iran acted barbarically?!

Damn it! We need to elect Romney quicker! Is there any way we could have the election today? (ohhh wait... he'd get his *** kicked by Santorum... ooops!)

Romney is the cure for everything cuz he ran good the olympics and he's mormon.
