If I went to a game wearing face paint I'd be cheering the whole game no matter what;

1) cuz you look even more stupid with face paint and a frown
2) I'd be too drunk to know the score

Where is the 0-12 option? Yet another fail poll.

I do not have a testimony of church ball.

It's a great defense and the offense can only improve. Even so prolly in for only about 8 wins.

So then what specifically about the offense is preventing you from predicting more wins?
I wouldn't necessarily say it's the offense preventing more wins. Personally I think the offense will be fine (relative to general progression given where they came from) but they're not going to carry the team in the way needed to beat the top teams on the schedule. The way I see it the top tier games are BSU, Wisc, ND, and Tex. I figure BYU to go 1-3 there (most likely BSU or Tex but best chance BSU). And then probably lose a game they should've won (my guess there would be Houston).

But to continue the offensive tangent . . . BYU's offense will be fine against most teams. But I just don't see them (or anyone) doing much against the defenses of BSU and ND. Then you take Wisc with Anderson who obviously has BYU's number and now the talent besides. And Texas is just too good. Maybe underachieving but the talent is there and Mack Brown is motivated.

Don't get me wrong BYU can hang with anyone defensively and they'll give BYU a puncher's chance against anyone but I just don't see the offense being at the level needed to score 21+ on those four teams. Maybe if they get the running game going. Or maybe if BYU had better special teams but that isn't happening.

Still a lot of questions on the offensive line. And while I have high hopes for Taysom Hill, his true ability is still a huge unknown. I think Conan is being generous with 8 wins; I myself predicted 7. I'd call 8 wins this year an outstanding season.

No question the o-line is everything. Anyone in the know knows that Riley sucked but his sucktitude covered up for the greater suck which was the o-line. I think between Tujay and Anae the o-line will get it going just fine. But if they don't no amount of Taysom, Williams/Alisa, and Hoffman will help. Shout out to former Beetdigger Kyle Johnson who may start at OL (RG I think) as a walk-on freshman.

New coaching, new splits, new players. If O-line isn't good this year, then BYU could be screwed for many years because they pretty much went all in on O-line recruiting this past class. I think they went 8 or 9 this class, and there is already 16 players listed on BYU's roster as being O-Lineman without including those guys. If 5 guys that can play can't emerge out of a pool of 25.......
