Actually.... No way in hell I would want McGill playing corner..... I would rather just move a wide receiver (falslev) over to defense than try McGill at corner.

What a horrible opinion. Off the top of my head, I can count 4 former Ute CB's playing in the NFL. Obviously, Whittingham might know just a little bit about what he is doing with his players at the CB position. McGill may not be great, but he's an instant upgrade over any healthy corner BYU has at this point.

I guess you have not heard about the ute coaching staff talking **** about McGill a lot so far in camp, saying that he is overweight, and slow.

Also, and I have no idea if these opinions are correct, a lot of byu fans have been saying that the backup corners are better athletes than the starting corners but that bronco was playing the starters ahead of them because he is kinda like jerry sloan and ty corbin and values experience over talent way too much.

Again, I have no Idea if that is true or not cause I know nothing about the back up corners, just stuff I have been hearing.

At least the byu safeties are good and experienced so that should help.

The loss of Jordan Johnson is still a huge one, like I said in my previous post, it is about the worst injury possible.

I do find it interesting that when a ute player gets hurt (blechen) I don't see a bunch of byu fans talking about how much better our linebackers are, but when a byu guy goes down with injury ute fans are quick too talk ****.

I know that is just your style..... I just would rather talk about the good ute players rather than talk **** but that is because I am trying to stop being a hater toward the utes.

I'd trade Utah's LB's for BYU's in a heartbeat. Regardless of my hate for the Y, when they have a better unit and/or team I have no problem admitting it. As far as McGill goes: Whit isn't happy that he is still carrying his Safety weight and wants him to drop some lbs. It doesn't mean that he is fat or even out of shape. Obviously Whit wants his Corners playing at a certain weight and he's gonna be in McGill's face until he gets there.

I think BYU is in big trouble at CB. Just my opinion. You can take it as trash talk if you like. In fact, please do.

Tuni Kanuch out for the year at DT. If any more injuries happen, just be thankful BYU isn't USC. USC has lost multiple guys for the year, 19 guys are dinged up and not practicing, and they of course are dealing with a scholarship shortage as it is. Football.

That sucks for USC. It must be really rough when your 5 star 1st stringers go down and you have to use your 4 star 2nd stringers. My heart goes out to Lane Kiffin.

Chris Badger coming back to Provo to play for BYU. Nice get, even if he doesn't get the waiver for this year. The bash brothers from Timpview reunite:

Notre Dame backup safety Chris Badger, a former Timpview High star, is transferring to BYU and hopes to be able to play for the Cougars this season, his father confirmed Monday.

Normally, Badger would have to sit out this season due to NCAA rules regarding transfers. However, he will make an appeal to the NCAA to waive the rule because the transfer is due to personal reasons not related to football, Dr. Rod Badger said.

Chris Badger’s mother is ill and not able to travel to Indiana to watch him play, according to the Chicago Tribune. She would be able to watch him play near the family home in Provo.

Also, sleeping with Sandy Braille sullied my reputation, in my eyes.

Is he fast enough to play corner?

He's certainly at least just as fast as some of the guys they are trying to play at corner right now. Probably unrealistic to expect him to transfer in and play big minutes in a system he is unfamiliar with right now, at a position he isn't familiar with anyway unless BYU is getting absolutely shredded out there or more injuries happen though. Probably a more significant pickup for next year, which with Soreson graduating, is perfect. Though maybe he could be solid for spot duty at multiple positions this year.
