No syndrome at all. The cat get surprised and jumps...all cats do that. But look closely. The reason the kitten is yelping and can't stand/walk is that it's collar is wrapped around its leg.

I still say it appears there is some kind of strap around the neck and the leg and that's why the cat is walking funny. It's black, but I don't think that's the coloring of the cat.

I thought there was a cast on the cats leg for a second. It definitely has a gimpy leg, but I don't think there was a strap on it. I don't think it can bend that knee.
