What's new

Potential New Jazzmen

I'd like Utah to go after a sign and trade of Brandon Rush and D. Wright for Devin Harris, Raja Bell. Gives G.S. a decent backup to Curry who is going to miss a few games. And I love this move because it adds 2 shooters that can stretch the D and they both also play decemt Denfense. I'd call it a successful summer.

I'd be really interested to see what big al/favors/millsap would do with a few 3 point shooters that stretch the defense in Williams, Murphy, Hayward, Wright, Rush.

I'd give Rush CJ Miles' money 3 yrs $12MM. Sidenote: GS decided not to extend Curry, which means we could potentially make him an offer next offseason.

Correction: they will not offer any extention this year. If his ankles do not hold up then they will probably facilitate a trade for him. Best case scenario is that Curry doesn't play most of the first half of the season and GS looks to trade him for something.

"@KBergCBS: Early indications are that an extension for Stephen Curry with Golden State "will not happen this year," according to a source."

Gerald Green isn't a good shooter, and that's what we need. I'll take the other Green. I've been a fan of his all year, he'll make a great roll player. He will do what he's good at and not try to do to much or force it like Cj does.

39% from 3 not good....... interesting

I like Brandon Rush, but for the same reason slice is wary of Gerald Green, I'm wary of him. He got traded for trash then had a great year in a contract year.

There's definitely enough there to like, but again, I'm wary.

Rush had pretty much the same year as he has had every year of his career. His % were a good deal higher, but his usage and other #'s were pretty much the same.

I like Rush alot more than Green. Much more consistent track record so you're pretty confident you're getting a wing who can shoot and defend. It is kind of disconcerting how the Pacers gave him up and how he hasn't found a niche or atleast earn a role but I think you really have to do your homework and figure out what went on in each of those situations...and if it all checks out he could be one of those guys who could thrive in Utah because he doesn't need to handle the ball to add value to your team. Could be a nice match, but it will be interesting to see what kind of offers he gets.

I would think Jazz are hoping Kevin Murphy can come in, be a quick learner, and do what every player mentioned in this post can do for a lot cheaper.

What's the correction?

As for a source: The Salt Lake Tribune learned Saturday that San Antonio guard Danny Green (restricted free agent) and veteran guard Roger Mason have interest in Utah. Salt Lake Tribune

Sorry guys. I was busy this weekend.

please Please Please no Danny green he isnt Even that good I cant believe the Jazz are settling for some of these scrubs instead Of going after the big Names or something like that. Mo williams is over the hill Too I dont get it Its like they stopped caring when Larry passed away I hope They dont get rid of favors

I will be surprised if we sign Green. In the 4 games we played against SA, Green always did terrible against Utah. Utah only signs FA who destroy Utah.

Also, I wonder what his stats were like in the games the big 3 rested? I know the last game against Utah was one of those and he went 3/11 from the field, 1/4 from deep, 4 rebounds and an assist in 35 minutes.

In the playoffs Green choked against us (save game 2) and against the Thunder. He did great against the Clippers. He did so bad against the Thunder he only played 8 minutes in the final 2 games.
