Teams who are out of playoff contention are typically the ones willing to trade good pieces and they do so for differing reasons. To save money and/or reset and/or gain draft capital and/or appease an unhappy player, etc. The Nets aren’t good. They don’t have any super young players that lead any rational person to believe they’ll suddenly become good or close to good next year. At some point, it might make sense to trade Bridges and get some strong draft capital (and maybe Hendricks, etc) to tank for this draft, and more importantly the 2025 draft and beyond.
