Lol we are not targeting teams who want to win a ring in 2023 we are targeting teams who want to make the playoffs or get to the 2nd round.
I like Collins, but I can see the concerns about him as well. It wouldn't surprise me if ATL has hesitation to trade for Rudy because they believe in Okongwu. I think there's a good chance that he's better than Capela next year....if he wasn't already.
There is spectrum between great and garbage. You don't need to be a great player to have positive value.

No good NBA team's player should be able to be double teamed without getting severely burned.
Humans do get over-optimistic. Very few teams just aim to make the playoffs.

I literally said in a different thread that he is pulling a power play right now and we will see who the Jazz hire. He’s obviously laying the groundwork to ask out if things doesn’t go the way he wants it to. That doesn’t change anything about Gobert’s situation at all.

That being said, I don’t know why we’re ****ing around with this idea of trying to salvage a ****ed situation and an old, tired roster with a toxic locker room.
I believe in Donovan as a player. He’s REALLY ****ing good and the disrespect he gets around here is crazy. It’s sad that it has turned into a Donovan vs Rudy debate around here 24/7 but here we are.
Our floor is much higher with Rudy but our ceiling is much lower than with Donovan.

Then we moved Royce/16/2026 1st for Grant.
This works under the cap for every team and our new starting lineup is:
Donovan
Hunter
Grant
Collins
Capela
Then you still have Conley who you can move for depth or bring him pff the bench. That’s not a bad set of moves and this team would not win 38 games lmao. We’d be squarely in the race for a top-4 seed.
