Predict the Rudy Gobert trade

You're wrong.

Boston taking a step back by trading two ancient All Stars isn't tanking. It's rebuilding. Boston letting Kyrie go wasn't tanking either if you were wondering. Boston trading IT because it was time to trade him wasn't tanking either. Moving Kemba wasn't tanking either.

GS sitting healthy players to make sure they lose so they get a pick is tanking.

Teams make decisions to move on from players knowing that they might take a temporary small step back so they can take a bigger step forward. That's exactly where we are with Rudy Gobert. That's called rebuilding not tanking.

Boston traded their good players and lost a lot… they got no current value… call it whatever you want… that is what we need to do… we won’t do it. You are dead *** wrong.

The first time the tanked was the KD draft dummy. They openly tanked… like Doc joked about it with the media. The got the fifth pick which got them Ray… getting Ray made KG change his mind about accepting a trade their. Kicked off their title team… also gave them the stuff they traded later to build this team… but sure they NEVER TANKED… and TANKING TEAMS NEVER PROFIT.

Youre wrong… it’s okay… you should be fine with it since it happens constantly

Lol, just own it and stop being a dick.

I never said tanking teams never profit. I said teams that trade all value for draft value don't always pan out. I said I don't want to do that (trade Don and Rudy) then try to lose for high picks because that isn't a recipe for success.

Also lol own it is not a rebuttals at all… you have no rebuttal… cuz you wrong.

Gobert for Hunter, Collins, 16

Gobert for Anunoby, Trent Jr, 33

Gobert for Williams, Vucevic, 18

I’d be fine with any of these but the Atlanta deal then Toronto deal are the best for us going forward by far.

Dude, you said tanking and rebuilding were practically the same.

Dumbest comment I have seen in quite a while from a poster I actually respect.

Although that respect is fading with all your unnecessary outbursts of late.

If we could get that Atlanta deal, that would be amazing.

Just imagine doing that deal then doing the reported deal of Bojan for Caruso and White.

Then do a deal with Conley.

We gotta get tougher. And younger.

You indirectly called me a moron and a clown… then you directly called me a clown so I’m the one with outbursts.

I defined tanking rebuilding bottoming out real early… basically realizing where you are in life cycle and acting accordingly… call it the process… when you rebuild it almost always involves winning less… it’s part of the process… you emphasize winning in the future over winning now. It can be brazen like Philly or OKC or it can be more subtle and shorter.

Boston definitely engaged in nonwinning behavior.

I have all the respect here I need so take it wherever you want. I don’t care.

I'd love for us to pry Keldon Johnson, along with Poetl from the Spurs. That would solve a lot of problems for us, as well as keep us strong around the interior on Defense. Poetl also has a decent post game.

I disagree with you and think you are not smart when it comes to any aspect of basketball. Like, do you even watch the sport. I can’t imagine you do with the stuff you post in here. It’s very perplexing.
I'm definitely no expert when it comes to the Xs and Os of the game. Just a fan.

My gut feeling expertise is in the area of player movement and roster construction. Calls like adding Herb Jones or trading Favors before he lost all value or Hayward before he was clearly leaving or something other than Conley's asset clearing deal.

Just a fan.

Yeah, our Jazz realized last summer we needed more perimeter defending, didn't get perimeter defending, halfway through last season we realized our life cycle that we would win less than the prior season, and we didn't do anything about our issues at the deadline...

By our new definition, we tanked at the middle of last season.

Where is the tank thread? Who was our tank commander? Quin? Zanik?

Nah we did a rebuild last year cuz we traded old players for some new players. Probably will rebuild again this year and the year after next.

This is an interesting thought, although I’m worried that Mikes value will peak after free agency if a team strikes out on a free agent PG (aka the Knicks)
I'm just glad that there is a Mike Conley trade chatter out there like other teams really want him. Cleveland and Washington already rumored. This article came out yesterday:

I don't get the Cleveland thing... AT ALL. They have one of the best young PGs in the league. Why would they spend valuable assets on a player who will take the ball out of his hands and doesn't give them much defensively?
