Preseason Game #3 Jazz at Lakers

I wonder where Kanter would be eliminated now if we did Utah Jazz Survivor again.

UGLI would've voted everyone but Hayward and Favors off before the Kanty man.

Kanter might be the last man standing. Favors has a ton of athleticism and potential, but Kanter is productive. Before we get too excited, though, remember Kanter is dominating against back-ups and scrubs. Sacre is their third-string center (neither Howard nor Hill were active). He fouled out early and the player they brought in behind him won't be on an NBA roster.

i would trade evans while he has some trade value, he will not even have that in a few years

Evans doesn't have much trade value now. He doesn't even make enough to bring back someone decent unless he's part of a trade involving other guys.

Any "trade value" Evans might have at this point is not nearly as much a value as what he bring to this team, the franchise, and the fans. Evans is a keeper for us, regardless of how good he is at basketball. I love this game just a little more every time he comes on the floor.

I have to say like everyone else that I am really excited with Kanter's progression. That guy can rebound the ball--even better than he did last year since he elevates better this year. It's not often that I enjoy seeing someone rebound, but he is an incredible rebounder, and that is hugely important for a good defense. Kanter is leading the preseason in rebounds/game with only 20/21 minutes/game. He's averaging 28 rebounds/48 nearly double what Anthony Davis is averaging. I know it's only preseason, but this is what he should be doing.

Check out who are first and third in steals per game according to those stat. Oy vey.

It's just preseason, but Davis should got the same fire to show his better skills the first chance he has so it is no explanation for a rookie. Enes said that instead: I know it's just a pre season but it feels good to play hard. What better attitude could I expect from a young guy?

AK has also played in only 1 game out of 3 (due to hamstring problems), and is shooting 25% on his FG's and FT's. Small sample size for shooting, I realize, but far more alarming to already miss games. $20M over 2 years for a guy who is likely going to miss 20 games each season and give you inconsistent play offensively. And his raison d'etre: shotblocking, will continue to decrease with his old legs and injury problems. Steals are all he has left.

Replaced the "Earl-y-Oop" with Quinn. Same result.

Quinn might get a non-guaranteed deal if Watson isn't back before the end of camp. I like Tinsley at PG, anyway. Kick Watson into an assistant coach position.

Great point. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Jazz keep Quinn at least until Watson is 100%. I don't see Watson becoming an assistant coach this season though, so Braille would have to be officially kicked to the curb for the Jazz to keep Quinn.

I also love Quinn. Let's face it, we love him becauseof his physical similarity to one John Stockton..

And that has some idea how the game of basketball works and is played.

I've always liked Quinn. At least as a 3rd stringer.
