What's new

Prob already a thread about it but I hate the Ingles extension.

He wanted to know he would be here so that he can plant deeper roots. He has kids and a wife and wants to plan the best he can. He accepted a bench role willingly. This was not a business decision for the Jazz... it was a people decision. You bet your *** others are watching and that Joe will sing our praises. I get it... might be an overpay... didn't need to do it, but we don't run our organization like trader Danny in Boston... players aren't "assets".
Its not an overpay. Hes the teams best passer and an integral part of the offense.

This board needs an official bitch about something stupid thread to keep all the idiots together in one place where their dumbassery can be contained.

Which is ironic because Joe Ingles doesn't like Donovan Mitchell. He never has.

I’ve got a feeling Joe is one of those guys that the more he likes you the more **** you get...

This post is ironic I think

tbh i'd expect most things of jingles game to age well, especially with some decrease on his playing time.

When he doesn't hit 3s, it's an overpay.
When any player has a bad game or bad shooting game they are overpaid in your opinion?

I think we have a big enough sample size to know Ingles is a good shooter. Every player has ups and downs with shooting.

Thats a big number for someone who will likely be a pretty poor NBA player. I appreciate the Jazz being loyal but like cutting Favors loose because his contract was too big I think the Ingles extension was a pretty big mistake.

I'm also day drunk so it is what it is.
The more you dummies make posts like this, the better it seems our players play, so...yeah, keep it up!

When Ingles figures out how to orchestrate with Conley, Mitchell, Bogdanovic and Gobert all as scoring options, the Jazz's offense will be very efficient and potent.

i'd say it's more of a thing of how to orchestrate the second unit, that runs very differently compared to last year.

Oh I get why they did it. They’ve been wise with contracts as far as building relationships-that’s why they gave Exum an over pay and Favors a good deal for a year. That shows not just players, but also their agents, that the Jazz are good people to do business with. That was likely a factor in Bogie signing here. Heck, Joes current overmarket deal follows that strategy itself.

That said, joes already on a great deal. Great money, plenty of years. He’ll be 37 in the last year of his deal now (I think.) I just think you should’ve seen how he looks at 34 before extending him.

You don't even know what age he will be the last year of his contract while your talking s***? Google.com is a hell of a thing. It would've told you that what "you think" is wrong. However your in luck. You don't have to ask google. Just ask me and I can tell you that all of your thoughts are wrong and always have been. Surprise!!!! Your brain can't recognize "common thoughts" as being common. For everyone else, they may be common, for you, it's a luxury.

DL would've ended up being one of the best GMs in Jazz history had he resigned four seasons ago. Still amazed me how he managed to undo his own legacy.

I don't think it's an overpay,. He's coming off of the best year of his career, plus provides a ton of leadership on and off the court. I'm not sure where the $14 million number is coming from, everything I can find say's he's going to make $12.5 million next year. Even if we could've saved 2 or 3 million I'm not sure how much that would've helped us, we'd still be over the cap and in the luxury tax.

I doubt the Jazz would trade him but it's a very tradable contract if they decide to to that. I really don't see any problem. To me, Bogey making $18.5 million next year and then $19 million the following year is a much bigger issue.

He went out after orchestrating the best team in the league until injuries caught up with them.
