What's new

Prob already a thread about it but I hate the Ingles extension.

Look at rosters in this league. Tell me how many guys coming off the bench make that much.

Joe changed his Twitter out of Jazz gear. He wants out of Utah fast. I bet he wishes this were a player option.

Now we’re going to endure a season of diva demanding a trade. Who has the links to his sister’s former roommates’ Instagram so I can update you guys blow by blow?

Not sure if serious but I'm pretty sure he's just supporting his Olympic team.

Obviously DM’s fault. We got to get this guy out before he destroys the whole galaxy.

Hahahaha. Well done

A very funny thread this has become lol. Joe is a Jazz lifer if we want him to be, but that contract will make for great salary filler, expiring, or some value. I’m awaiting what Mikes contract looks like, I’d love a 1+1(team option) even if the number on Mike was bigger for this next season, then let Mike and Joe’s salary drop off and open up some cap space next offseason.

And here’s the difference in the jokes vs the reality of the other guy. There haven’t been multiple national sports reporters saying Joe doesn’t want to be here or doesn’t like it here over just the past month alone. There’s a pretty big difference. Joe is actively involved in Utah’s community, not just showing up for a quick PR moment at a local sports game where he knows he’ll get positive media for it.

Actually not true from what I’ve seen lol. Also, Joe has spent the entire last year and a half here, he never even went home last year. Also, I mean actual involvement. Rudy and Joe do quite a bit of stuff around actual local community involvement. The other guy might show up or give away a pair of shoes for some good PR but I don’t know of anything he’s actually done here.

Yeah, because of Covid dude. Every year Joe has spent the entire off-season in Australia and Donovan has been in Utah frequently to train.

And how many are runners up (and probably should've won) 6MOY?

I didn't like the extension at the time because I had cap-space eyes but his salary is not the issue on this team. If his burden is managed he is one of the most impactful non-stars in the league. It just sucks he's so old and this team has done such a dog-**** job of developing any depth so that playing Joe 35 minutes isn't the default fallback when injuries/load management occurs.

People on Jazzfanz just considering Joe an expiring contract is a pretty wild turn and has no base at all. He was solid in the playoffs too. Right now if he was a free agent a 1 year 13M deal is basically what I'd expect him to get... maybe more because he'd push for two years potentially.

Would we rather watch Joe walk off into the sunset and save Ryan some money?

For the haters coming out of the woodwork, name the players that are:
-elite orchestrators of an offense (especially as PnR ball handler)
-great shooters off the bounce and elite shooters of the catch
-≥6' 8"
-effective defensively (somehow)
-everyone's favorite teammate, likely being the dude that both fueding franchise cornerstones turned to in improving their relationship
-GOAT ****-talker
