People keep asking me "why are you still here if you don't root for the Jazz?" Here's why. Deluded gems like these.

I almost wanna make a "quotes from Jazz fans" thread LOL or perhaps one called "The Hayward Delusion"

Westbrook is a superstar and Hayward isn't, it's apples and oranges. yet y'all wanna pay him the same... This dude Cy is pretty much like talking to a 10-year old kid about his favorite player when it comes to Hayward --- he's completely infallible.. It's obscene.

The fact of the matter is Russell willed his team to victory and Hayward FOLDED. This was on display for all to see last night.. They had a 4pt lead with a minute to go the superstar won and the "all-star" folded, simple as that.

I don't think anyone is saying Hayward is better than Westbrook, but they play different positions and roles on their teams. Westbrook is the hero-ball PG ball hog. So he has more license to take over a game than Hayward. You didn't see the Jazz give the ball to Hayward and just clear out and let him do his thing like the Thunder did for Westbrook. In the end, Westbrook as hero-ball ball hog will never win a championship. Michael learned that and then his championships followed.

I don't pick him ahead of Westbrook in a pickup game of course Point God Alec Burks, but I think Gordon Hayward is one of the most valuable players in the league with his all around game and physical high level game compared to most of the white guys that play the game. So if you ask me, emphasizing that he only is an All Star is not too fair of an evaluation on him. Anyone with a common sense should admit that Gordon Hayward's All Status came a few seasons late even though he has earned it and his value as a player is higher than most of the players that are selected as All Star. For example the election system did not choose Rudy Gobert as an All Star. Does that change the fact that he is the best center in the league right now? Or a no-brainer-candidate for the Defensive Player of the Year Award and the All NBA Defensive team ? Don't have to answer those, I know how knowledged you are about basketball so I can guess your answer. I also know how much you like pulling a few legs here and there so I will step aside for you to enjoy your time here my good sir. Have a nice day and don't drive drunk.
