In a season that had some points we all kind of wished we could move past and scrap the season at times, I can’t belive how quickly it’s flew by, how enjoyable this team has become, how close this team is to contention, and how much I don’t want this season to end. I will feel robbed if we don’t get at least one playoff series even if it is a 4 game sweep by GS or Houston.....really this season should end at home in a playoff series to a standing ovation (especially for Rudy and Donovan) for a season that had some real low points, but is probably one of my favorite teams and seasons of all time at this point.
We found out we didn’t lose our best player last offseason, and got the best kid in the NBA who’s got the talent to go with it at number 13 last year. This is a 50+ win team if Gobert is not injured, and probably wins more games than last season. In a year where we lost that one guy and Hill this franchise bounced back in an astounding way that very few could in this fashion. A team full of great guys who have outperformed and proven wrong all the people who threw them out and doubted them....and played the best of their careers in a Jazz uniform....even Donovan who has proven he was #1 pick worthy. Ingles got sent packing by the Clippers, Crowder was trashed by Cleveland, Rudy fell to 24 and was disrespected out the door by Hayward who didn’t even give him the courtesy of a text or indication of what he was going to do, Royce who was overseas, Favors who was written off as injured beyond recovery, the list goes on and on, and yet when healthy....this is a 50+ win team and potential contender in years to come. It’s a good time to be a Jazz fan and every Jazz fan should be proud of this organization, these players, the coaches, and the front office for being one of the best in the league. Whether we make the playoffs or not, I hope the arena is rocking for the rest of this season, sold out, and this team leaves knowing it’s appreciated, because this is the funnest cap off of a season I’ve ever watched.
